What a wonderful time we had!! What makes this place so special is the owners and the wonderful breakfast and history of the grounds. We loved hearing the stories they told at breakfast. In today's fast paced world, this was a wonderful place to unwind and just get away for a few days!!

This had our 9 year-old talking about how much better better this was than a hotel. I have to admit, this place by far exceeded my expectations. The beds were so comfortable and the entire place was exceptionally clean. The innkeepers were VERY sweet and accommodating. We had amazing conversations with Ms. Waltrip and learned so much about the area.... More

This is a fantastic place for a conference or a getaway! The one room school house that has been converted into a meeting area and bedrooms is fantastic and quaint. The rooms in the main house and the cabin are fantastic. It is located to many local attractions. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a... More

This is a nice getaway in the Gruene area that provides something other than the tired old offerings that the main drag provides. You do not have to be subjected to the noise of the local bands, the foot traffic, the rowdy tourists . . . but you can be part of that action in about 10 minutes if you're... More

We spent 1 night in the Old School House and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The highlight was definitely sitting on the wraparound porch with wine and nibbles watching dusk set in. The room itself is very spacious and clean. The only issue we had was that we could hear the upstairs guests throughout the night. I wonder if the rooms in... More

After a stormy drive from Huston, The Kuehker Waldrip B & B was a very cozy, and comforting site for the weary. Sunshine and songbirds welcomed us at the driveway and a sense of peacefulness and serenity surrounded our stay at the deer haven cabin. The cabin was spacious, nicely appointed (highest bed I've ever slept on) with all the... More

My wife and I have stayed at this establishment on many occasions over the past few years and have had nothing but outstanding experiences. The family that owns and operates this B and B is extremely friendly, accommodating, and offers an outstanding breakfast. We have stayed in different rooms each time and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this... More

The Kuebler Waldrip Haus Bed and Breakfast was the first B&B I’ve stayed at. The house is beautiful and full of history and character. Its rustic walls are covered in stone and old wooden planks and it is decorated in an eclectic and unique style that I absolutely loved. The property surrounding the house was so serene; I’ve never heard... More

Lovely property, owners, breakfast, rooms. The Hillside Hideaway was so lovely and cozy. We were with someone who stayed in the downstairs Kuebler Kastle, which was really big and beautiful. A list to help determine if it's the B&B for you: Pros: -- Historic house from 1870s. Stone walls, some barn-wood walls, exposed wooden beam ceilings, old family photos everywhere.... More

Many of our wonderful Bed and Breakfast guests upon arrival enjoy a greeting, a tour of the property, instructions about breakfast and shown our common room with the refreshments. I and my staff also try to answer any questions that the guests may have to help them with finding area attractions, wineries, downtown New Braunfels or Historic Gruene. Thank you... More

I have never stayed at a B&B. I had planned a girl week with my mom and Aunt and looked into many places to stay, decided on this one. We drove up this gravel driveway, first thing that caught my eye were the deer and then this beautiful stone house. Our host was Darrell Waltrip. He and the 3 cats... More

Bed and Breakfast guests find us from many different avenues of advertising and about 20-25% of our guests are new bed and breakfast guests that have never stayed at a B&B. This wonderful guest was one of the new guests and she loved it. We now have a feeder on the property for the deer and a watering station for... More
