My brother and his partner invited us to this cabins, there second time and first time for my wife and kind, the idea of cabins in the hill country was the pitch of going to a quiet place, and I have to say it was great!. I like the outdoors, I would rather camp out, but the my wife and... More

We really enjoyed our stay! We stayed in the luxury loft, we enjoyed having the privacy. We checked out other reviews and knew to bring "items from home" to actually eat on the property. We grilled the first night and then microwaved our items during our stay. Saved a bunch of money. Cabin was very nice and comfortable. The tubing... More

The luxury loft was definitely luxurious compared to our friends cabin (think dark and hot because not enough AC...). The location of our loft was a plus being away from the common grounds and elevated enough to have a great view of the hillside (not river). Pros - location to the river. Tube rentals and transportation included. Free BBQ dinner... More

There's a good many options for a nightly stay around the Guadalupe River. But not so many if you have small children and you want to maintain a family atmosphere. We took our two young grandchildren for a river float this week, and while not perfect, this was the best option for us. As owners of our own B&B's in... More

Nice cool cabins. We had a "honeymoon" cabin tucked away at the end. Huge bathroom, comfy bed. There is a big fridge, a coffee maker (but no coffee! Bring your own!) and big balconey with lots of seats and a nice view. You have river access if you just want to float and they'll pick you up and take you to... More

We stayed here this past weekend, a group of 5 of us stayed in a Standard Loft. Yes, the walls are thin but everyone was so exhausted (and probably drunk) from their float the property as a whole got really quiet around midnight. But what do you expect from a property that's on the river during the summer? It should... More

We went there for new years with two other families. The cabins are wooden, very nice and cozy with common balcony to the river. The management is located off site and hard to obtain via phone. We didn't see our hosts- they were not around when we got there nor when we went away. Still everything worked out OK. The... More

This was absolutely the best site for my daughter's wedding this past weekend. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accomodating. Thank you Amber, Patrick and Gary for all your hard work...you helped create an awesome experience for all of us. We rented the entire lodge and it was great to have a place where the families (several!) could... More

We were there for a wedding in September, the cabins were basic and nice but the bugs were unbearable. I know there are bugs in the country next to a river but an infestation of cockroaches is another problem. I saw at least a dozen large ones in our cabin in the short two days that we stayed there. I... More

The Hideout on the Horseshoe is a nice place to rest and ride the river in a tube.....but that's it. There are no other amenities. The house we stayed in was well maintained and well serviced. It did not have cooking facilities in the house, but it did have a refrigerator and freezer. The two showers were in good shape... More
