We stayed in room 2101 for one night and loved it. Wasser Haus is a short walk to Schlitterbahn, and we had the extra hour access in the morning, which really helped us beat the lines to enjoy the slides a few times. The room was well laid out and clean. The kitchenette was great, although we only used the... More

Stayed here in September 2012, and this location could not have been better! The end of the Comal River tubing is just around the corner from this place. Also, you can walk across the street and down some stairs to access the river for about a 30-minute tubing ride. The put-in at the park is a little more of a... More

What a bunch of crooks. That homepage showing Wasserhaus with leafy patios and steps away from inviting creek? NOPE.... only a 12 bedroom house is on the creek. When I made my reservation, I ASKED.... are there patios on the double rooms? OH YES< she gushed.... we'll take care to put your daughter and grandson on the creek. What a... More

We rented 5 rooms (202-206). We were shocked at the filthiness for the price we paid! Appalling that they actually charge a $50 cleaning fee which is obviously just pocketed. 1 room had 1 inch thick dust on the ceiling fan. All of the tile floors were filthy with stains. Cobwebs greeted you above the entry doors. Every corner had... More

This place doesn't even deserve one star. Very disgusting. The rooms had bugs in the beds and around the room, bodily fluids were on the bed sheets and pillows, hair was all over the place, dog hair was also on the bed, the towels were discolored as if they used them to clean with, and when I pulled back the... Booked a stay at the “Penthouse in Gruene” after a reservation we had for a house on the river was canceled due to the property selling. Beth was helpful in getting my group of 12 accommodated and answering questions. Upon arrival the property was nice and the location in the heart of historic Gruene is fantastic to take advantage of... More

My family of 4 stayed in Lodge room 105. It was nicely decorated and tidy. The beds were comfy and had plenty of pillows! We enjoyed having coffee on the deck overlooking the Comal in the mornings, listening to the symphony of squirrels, birds, etc. We also had dinner on the deck one evening. Next time we will take advantage... More

We just spent a couple days at the Wasser Lodge and we were very please with the size and location of the Haus. We had plenty of bedrooms which helped because we had a bunch of kids. The best part was we could release the kids to spend the day at the Sclitterbaun water park and we could enjoy the... More

I consider myself a prissy traveler for the most part but this trip was all about getting to Schlitterbahn. For two years in a row, we would drive up from San Antonio only to find the parking lots completely full :( Very sad. I was a little worried about some of the negative reviews but decided to chance it. Bottom... More

Great accomadations for a family. Beds were like sleeping on a cloud. The view from the patio was awesome. Beautiful of the hill country and river. Walking distance to everything. So restful, peaceful and quiet. Loved every minute. Went home so rested. Thank you so much for such a lovely place to get a way to.
