This place is a little out of the way but worth the drive. Cozy and friendly. Third visit in five years. As cheap as a hotel but more privacy. It's just five miles from Gruene hall and not far from downtown New Braunfels. Wonderful scenery and friendly staff.

My husband and I had a weekend getaway without our 3 kids. It was wonderful. Acorn hill is removed from the noise of new braunfels but close enough to go into town for activity/dinners, etc. we stayed at hacienda. I was worried it might be a little small but it was perfect for the 2 of us. The breakfasts were... More

My husband and daughter surprised me with a weekend getaway to Acorn Hill for my birthday. I loved the relaxing private atmosphere of the Texas Sunset room! The room was large and spacious yet very comfortable. We enjoyed day trips to Canyon Lake, Wimberley and Gruene for beautiful scenery and shopping. Each morning we were provided a breakfast for royalty.....so... More

We stayed in the log school house B&B. The Casablanca Room was excellent! We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. We had a good time and the food was really good. They serve enough to feed an army. Friendly people and very nice. Noise from traffic in the mornings but still all in all we had a good time.

We stayed here two nights for our anniversary. Texas Suite was very nice, roomy, comfortable, and had everything we might need. The food was delicious and served buffet style and we were able to sit at our table of choice. One great feature of staying in one of the suites of the main house was each suite has a door... More

Stayed at the Cottage for a Girls' Get-away weekend which completely exceeded our expectations. The staff is incredibly friendly and made our stay such a joy! We rented the Cottage which had a queen and full bed (full is in the loft), which was perfect for us 2 gals. The porch had 2 chairs for us to sit and listen... More

Stopped here for an overnight as part of a caving trip. 7 year old daughter fell in love with it. Nice pool too and the breakfast was fantastic. The little cottage we were in had a loft bed so my daughter felt like she had her own room and the country decor was tasteful and not too feminine lol. Recommended... More

I needed a place to stay for one night, last minute, and happened upon the Acorn Hill. Travelling solo to pick up my son from camp, the price initially stung. My room, the St. Thomas cottage, was equipped with a comfortable king sized bed and a large futon, so I was feeling a little guilty to be there without my... More

Nothing not to love. Great property. Good location. Owners couldn't be nicer. We stayed in the Texas Sunset Suite. Rooms were huge and impeccably decorated and furnished (and well cared for). Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous -- as good as I've had anywhere. We so enjoyed our stay here and look forward to another visit the next time... More

What a great B & B! We stayed in the La Hacienda Cottage and it was amazing. Very nicely decorated and has everything you could possible want, including a jet tub. The breakfast was very good and so tasty! The owners are very nice, polite, and pleasant to spend your money with. The sheets are super soft and I forgot... More
