We have been going to Camp Huaco for many years and I have to say with much regret that the stays get more and more disappointing every year. I have been during the summer and fall and I am used to tent camping at peak season as well. I tent camped this past weekend 8/1 to 8/3/ 2014 and I... More

We are staying in the next few weeks, but went up today to check out the camp site. Good thing we did, cause what we were promised, was not what we were gonna have. There was no shade at our proposed site. There was a family 3 sites over that informed us that all their belongings were moved without their... More

Best place to go with an awesome view of the river. BUT not for families who don't like a college party anymore. I have been coming for the past 7years. Basically expect a 24hr party during peak holiday times. Love this place. I'm sure when I become old and decrepit I'll find another place I can go be lazy at.

I have been coming to huaco springs, for 20/25 years and mostly this campsite; haven't been here in a long time. Am here now for Labor Day and my birthday. They claim to have a noise curfew/rule. But they do not enforce at all bathrooms are trashy. Staff is lazy and unresponsive. They're has been very, very loud tejano rap... More

My Family And I, About 15 Of Us, Camped At The Spot A Couple Of Weeks Ago. When We Got There The "Manager" Said He Didn't Have Our Reservations, We Than Showed Him Our Confermations, But He was Still Giving Us A Hard Time. We've Never Seen This Man, and we've Been Camping There For 3 Years. They Finally Let... More

We stayed at the campground on the lower part of the river (there are two different campgrounds). On the plus side they were located right on the Guadalupe river and there was lots of shade in the camp area. Negatives: they don't take reservations so its a first come, first serve free for all. The website shows tent campsites situated... More

This was my first stay in New Braunfels to camp and float. I have camped other places quite a bit. The restrooms were the cleanest I have seen for a campground. The only way they could have kept them cleaner would be to have an attendant there 24/7 which would be an unfair expectation. The staff was always friendly and... More

This is the worst campground on river road. The Manager of this campground is pure trash. We have been camping the guadalupe my whole life and I have steadily watched this place go down hill. In the old days it was always known as party central. That was fine with me. Im all about a party but what we saw... More
