The Plaza Inn is the worst value in lodging I have ever seen. It is nothing more than a roadside motel (like a Super 8), and not a very good one. It has exterior entries, tired furnishings, and a generally grim atmosphere. Given all this, the rates are outrageous. more

Stayed one night here, passing through on a trip to El Paso. Room was clean. Bed below average, parking lot was dark, felt a little unsafe. ALL of the chain hotels could learn something from this independent, mainly the words CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you need something, they'll get it for you. If you somply want something, they will move heaven and earth to find it. The rooms are clean and reasonably up to date, the pool and hot tub are nice and relaxing, the breakfast bar... more

I travel to Midland about 3 times a month and I will not stay anywhere else now that I found the Plaza. Traveling is part of my job and I havent found a staff I enjoy more.
