We were made to feel very welcome. The food was great, especially the steak. Our room was small but comfortable it was a little cramped in the bathroom, I didn't mind though. Next time I will book a bigger room. It was our wedding anniversary and Neil the owner brought us champagne. Very enjoyable stay. More

We have just returned from a most enjoyable stay at Greshornish House. The rooms and views were outstanding and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The food was superb. Neil and Rosemary were unfailingly attentive, helpful but not intrusive. The service, care and attention to detail were a perfect match for the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding area. It was sublime.... More

Set in a stunning location, way of the beaten tourist track, Greshornish House was the setting for a short break for my wife and I. We were looking for somewhere with peace and quiet and with a touch of luxury and certainly found it at Greshornish House. The adventure begins as you turn down the track that takes you a... More

My partner and I stayed at Greshornish over the easter break and we were expecting a stylish, cosy country hotel. However, what we experienced was far from this - we felt like unwanted guests in their home. The first night we had dinner in the hotel and instead of being asked which time would suit us best we were told... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday. Our room was delightful with a four poster bed and beautiful views, full of old charm and character. With a map and guidance from our hosts Neil and Rosemary we set off for a long walk out to Greshornish Point before dinner, the surrounding scenery was stunning and should not be... More

We stayed here a few monthhs ago and I find it hard to beleive some of the negative comments posted here. We have stayed several times before and have always found the hotel a real treat. The rooms are beutifully decorated and the food is to be compared to the best Skye has to offer. We will definately return again! More

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Greshornish Hotel as part of a touring holiday around Scotland earlier this summer. The website and photos online paint a picture of a stylish & cosy hotel and the prices echo this, we were looking forward to checking into somewhere we had imagined would be a little bit special but... We're very sorry to hear that your night here was a disappointment to you, and that you felt your welcome was tempered by the reminder note asking guests to leave muddy boots at the bottom of the stairs. You might be surprised at how many people find themselves embarrassed by having left mud all the way up the stairs! TV... More

Stayed at Greshornish for a night. Due to last minute booking we were offered one of the the attic rooms. Were told in advance it was small so that was fine. However, on arrival we found, even for a small room, the accomodation to be far from 4 star. The bath had no shower attachment-we had to wash our hair... More

Thank you for your comments about being well attended to during your stay here - and I am sorry that when we were contacted in the morning there was no other room to offer you. As you will know, we were very hesitant about offering you that particular room as it is usually only made available to youngsters whose parents... More

We first arrived at the hotel with an early check in booking. However the owner/manager wasn't expecting us even though we had spoken on the telephone to arrange a time. Check in is usually around 4PM, however we arrived at 2PM as arranged. After check in we were shown to our room, we booked a large double at the front... More

We were saddened to read that your stay did not match your expectations, and that you found our service intrusive. I am also sorry that we gave the impression that we were not expecting you when you arrived; time must have flown by that morning! As a matter of principle, everything is freshly prepared in our own kitchens and we... More

Just spent a lovely couple of days here. Our room, Islay, was beautiful. Large, well furnished, clean & bright, with a comfortable bed & nice bathroom. The owners were extremely accommodating & helpful. The food is tasty, using good local produce & the menu changes daily. The house offers wonderful views & the grounds, a work in progress, are pretty... More
