Greshornish is a superb country house hotel. It sits in a beautifully scenic location which is complemented by the friendly staff & excellent facilities. If you want pools, parties and all night bars - you're in the wrong place. If on the other hand, you are looking for stunning scenery in a refined and secluded setting with old world charm... More

This house is in a remote location on the isle of Skye. Beds were exceedingly comfortable, breakfast was fine and location was ideal. Even though it is in a remote location, there is a friendly taxi service on the island which is reliable. A trip for dinner to the Three Chimneys is highly recommended. My scrawny companion read a book... More

Greshornish House Hotel is tucked away in a secluded corner on Skye. It has a country hotel feel to it, and it is quite peaceful there. We arrived rather late, but the friendly and knowledgable owners did not mind including us at the hotel dinner. Dinner was excellent: mussels, Barbary duck, Scottish cheeses and a nice wine list. The cheeses... More

A lovely welcome with people coming out to welcome us on arrival. Fab afternoon tea in the sitting room. Note shortbread is free but cake is charged for - its very good though! We had a lovely room with a four poster bed with a sofa and armchairs overlooking the lawn with rabbits running over it! We had the most... More

This hotel is tucked away in the corner of Skye and pretty remote, so perhaps you need to make some allowances for this. however, my overwhelming impression from this hotel was one of needing just a bit of attention, both in terms of decor and tidying up. This is not a cheap hotel, and as such my expectation & review... More

No, I haven't stayed at every hotel on Skye, but you will be hard pressed to find one better than Greshornish House Hotel. This hotel is beautiful! The surroundings offer peace and tranquility of the highest standard. Everything in this facility is top-notch, from the furnishings to the most wonderful food. Not one single detail has been overlooked. The staff;... More

We stayed for 2 nights this week and had a really lovely, relaxing time. There were special touches like fresh flowers and home-baked shortbread biscuits in our luxurious room and all the staff were helpful and very polite. This beautiful old house is immaculately clean and ticks all the boxes one would expect of a luxury hotel. We've stayed in... More

I found Greshornish House on Trip Advisor and hope others give as much weight to personal reviews as my partner and I did and will continue to do. The House itself is beautifully restored and maintained. The owner Neil has a wealth of information on "what to see's". We were a bit disappointed in the hours for meals, (wanting to... More

I've just realised that I forgot to review Greshornish House after staying there last August. My girlfriend and I stayed for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very comfortable room, welcoming host and staff. We were looking for a quiet place and just loved the splendid isolation of Greshornish. Previous reviews seem to criticise the style of the... More
