As we pulled in to the grounds the building was breathtaking, we walked towards the entrance and the concierge greeted us by our name and took our bags up to the room, we felt like we walking onto the set from Downton Abbey. The room was amazing, the bathroom was huge with a built in shower and a roll top... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay at Rushton Hall to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had booked a state room - the Hope Bed Chamber which was absolutely magnificent with beautiful views over the gardens, a huge bathroom and 5ft bed. The staff in all areas, check in at reception, bar area, restaurant and spa were very attentive... More

From the moment we stepped into Rushton Hall, I knew I had picked a good hotel. We were greeted by the LOVELY staff on reception, who just made us more excited for our stay: highlighting that we were in an 'incredible room overlooking the lake' (PERFECT). We arrived to our gorgeous room... with a lovely man carrying our bags for... More

Really lovely hotel shame about the location as it is slightly out of the way and we had never heard of it until we seen it on secret escapes, we had a very enjoyable stay with lovely staff, our room was quite spacious for a standard bedroom and we liked the spa although it is very small. Afternoon tea was... More

We spent one night here in the standard Brady room in the stableyard conversion. On arrival we thought the hotel was beautiful and impressive, lovely grounds and the building was awesome. We liked our room too; it was small but stylishly decorated with a powerful shower, robes, slippers, coffee making facilities. A small bed but the room couldn’t have taken... More

We were given as a present a voucher for afternoon tea for two at Rushton Hall. I am pleased to say we thoroughly enjoyed the venue, the service and off course the tea. We would certainly recommend it. There is an option for a champagne afternoon tea for an extra charge. I believe there is due to be an increase... More

"Evening Valarie, After driving from Newcastle to Cambridge to visit our daughter we decided to treat ourselves by staying at Rushton Hall. We even booked into one of the state rooms to enhance the experience. We had snacked at our daughter's naturally. On arrival we popped into the bar for a gin and tonic, and to look at the menu.... We came here just for an overnight getaway from everyday life, thanks to a TravelZoo voucher. It was excellent value, although other travellers shouldn't expect a large room - most (possibly all, I'm not sure) are upstairs, almost in the eaves of the building, so they aren't especially spacious. They are, however filled with character. The hall is ever so... More

We stayed at Rushton Hall and had an evening meal there. The venue is great and the spa facilities are good We noticed a mound of bugs on the window frame and reported these to reception before going to dinner. They had clearly been there a while. We were assured that they would be sorted. Dinner was delayed but the... More
