The house itself is an exquisite example of sixteenth century architecture, and has a very interesting history (links to the Gunpowder Plot etc.) which is more or less ignored. This was our second stay, and as before we had a most comfortable room decorated in a pretty country house style. The Great Hall and dining room are both impressive, and... More

Seeking to give her father a birthday surprise my daughter arranged an afternoon tea at this beautiful property for the four of us. We were warned that we should avoid any lunch but be prepared to sit down for our afternoon tea at around 2.00 pm. As we were seated in the corner of a magnificent hall and supplied with... More

Stayed in Francis tresham a superior room on the 2 Nd floor. The bedroom was quite small but a large bathroom with a fabulous shower and stunning free standing bath. Not really able to see out of bedroom window which was a shame but on the whole the room was well equipped and comfortable. Enjoyed the spar which was clean... More

It is two years since we last stayed at Rushton Hall (See my previous review) and this was our fourth visit, but yet again reception asked if we had stayed before, surely with computer booking systems it would be easy to see if you have stayed before and thus make your welcome a little more personal by recognising this in... Weekend away with my wife in this beautiful old house with stunning rooms and surrounds. The old hall and restaurant were no exceptions with excellent food. Spa was clean and treatments to a high standard with reasonable prices. Only barrier to full marks was the price of dinner which was a little pricey with limited choice. Would definitely come back... Stayed here in mid-September as a surprise for my friends 21st Birthday. Initially, when speaking to the staff on the phone to see if we could come and decorate the room before check in, we were told that we could not put up any banner's etc. in case we damaged the décor - which was quite disappointing but understandable. However,... More

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and full of character. Our room ( James Pain ) was small compared to the room booked by our friends, but well appointed. The shower above the bath was a fixed overhead shower head, so impossible to wash hair without taking a full shower, A bath mixer tap with a flexible shower hose would be... More

Spent our thirty fourth wedding anniversary at the hall. Lovely surroundings in the heart of the English countryside. Recommended for a chill out break. The hall has a nice fitness centre which I took advantage off. Dinner at hall was expensive but beautifully prepared and very tasty. It would be a beautiful backdrop for a wedding which they do cater... More

Stayed here while on business in Kettering.. All intentions to work and prep but after seeing the grounds, the spa, & food menu that quickly turned into "let's relax tonight instead time". Stayed in a home from home here as it was so warm & comfortable, the staff were so attentive, and professional it's a credit to the management. Can't... More
