Before starting to write about our second visit to Villa Cortes, out of interest, I thought I’d have a look at what the naysayers on Trip Advisor had to say about this hotel. Mostly to see if anything written even remotely resonated before I started to gush forth once again! The sum total I could glean from them was: don’t... more

The Villa Cortez isn't cheap but then genuine 5 star luxury never is. However, this is the most fantastic value for money 5 star deal on the planet. The check in process is as smooth and friendly as it is possible to be. The rooms are large, with big balcony areas and a wonderfully delicious bathroom. The decor is that... more

We arrived at Villa Cortes after a week in La Gomera, and the contrast was quite a shock. However, when we adjusted to the difference, the Villa Cortes really grew on us. The Mexican theme of the hotel is an initial shock, but after a day or two, one began to realise what an amount of detial has been gone... more

I just have to say how much I agree with previous posters! The Villa Cortes is an excellent hotel, and I too am bemused as to why it does not feature as THE top hotel in this resort,as I have stayed in most, in this area and in Costa Adeje, and can honestly say they really do look after their clients. We... more

We had a couple of problems but it is fair to say we were very unlucky and I would have no hesitation staying here again. We treated ourselves to the limo transfer from the airport. 80 euros but a fantastic big black merc with blacked out windows and excellent service. We also arranged a bottle of Champers for the room... more

Everything about the Villa Cortes is excellent. From the moment we arrived till the day we left we enjoyed every minute. The rooms are decorated with a touch of class, and are very comfortable. We stayed in a standard room and were surprised to find we had a separate living room area also, the room was more like a large... more

Stayed here for 1 week in October in a standard sea view room. The hotel is certainly 5* by Tenerife's standards, perhaps 4* compared to some other European locations. The quality of hotel was much better than expected - rooms are large and impressive. Thick brick walls separate you from any noisy neighbour experiences (unlike the Mare Nostrum hotels according... more

I spent loads of time sourcing out what I believed to be the most suitable hotel and my time and effort was well spent as the Cortes was Amazing. Located on the coast line of Playa Des La America and very close to shops and nightlife. Though its proximity is beside the happening parts it is remarkably peaceful and inside... more
