Well, the maintenance/service team seems to be very keen on cleaning. But to keep something really clean means something else. So the first impression is that you get a clean room, but that's not true. The fridge was dirty, the cupboard were dusty and the towels had an interesting smell. My partner and I stayed at the Basement Complex in July 2007 and found it spotlessly clean and this was before the refurbishment. The staff are incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Have just stayed in this complex and can honestly say that it s totally unrecognisable from the previous review. The place was spotless and was cleaned daily. The sheets and towels were imacculate. The staff were very friendly and the one theam night hat we did attend was full of locals as well as tourists. I would really reccomend staying... more
