My experience of Las Arenas was good but nothing spectacular. Reception staff were friendly enough, the bald guy is fluent in german and had amazing conversations with anyone german, so I would recommend Las Arenas for any Germans. Room was clean and a mahogany partition separated beds and living area. The kitchen was a separate room. I would have liked... More

Dropped down to Playa Del Ingles for a1 night to see friends so I was looking for a bed, good location & value. The hotel is very near the beach. 5 mins at most. There are a lot of bars , shops and basic food outlets near by. The yumbo centre is a 15 min walk. The road is on... More

I stayed there twice in last year and each time my experience was opposite. From very good to just average. There are some good points about Las Arenas Appartments and some, which could be improved and better. Otherwise it's just another average hotel in Playa Del Ingles - one of many up there and sometimes its really hard to decide... More

Just back from staying at the Las Arenas. Good, basic, central apartments for what we paid.Receptionist who checked us in not that friendly/helpfull....just issued us with the key and gave no directions etc?? Take ear plugs as there is a lot of noise outside the apartments in the early hours from the bars/music opposite and party goers on their way home! Also,... More

The location of Las Arenas is perfect, it's 5 minutes from beach and 1 minute from party area, shops and restaurants. The hotel is a little bit noisy, but great for budget travelers and young people. The rooms are basic and nice with good equipment kitchen. The pool was big enough for everyone. Las Arenas was clean hotel, but we... More

You get what you pay for. The weather was the worst I have ever experienced in Gran Canaria. It was occasionally cool, persistently windy and often hazy with sand clouds blocking the sun in the early morning and late afternoon. This does not help if you are stuck in a very basic, draughty, third floor apartment. On the plus side,... More

Stayed here 12 days in January 2015. Have to say very basic and in need of updating although it did appear that some apartments were privately owned. OK if one is looking for budget accommodation in the centre of everything. Supermarkets, shopping and eating places nearby and 10 mins walk from Yumbo. Very friendly and professional reception staff and fabulous... More

A really unexpected great stay. Here’s what you need to know to make the most of your stay here. We were lucky enough to have a refurbished room, so when you check in, ask if a refurbished room is available. Rooms: Modern, bright and clean. Plenty of space, good storage, flat screen TV but you have to pay for remote... More
