We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It is located directly across the road from the vey popular yumbo centre, which is convenient especially if you are out late at night enjoying some of the many clubs and bars that the yumbo has to offer. The hotel is adult only which is ideal for us and... More

This is not the 1st time we have stayed here & it will not be the last. Hotel is excellent for a 3 star & what you pay. Clean everywhere, good public areas too & all staff are friendly & welcoming. This hotel was full during our vacation here due to Maspalomas gay pride...They coped very well & standards did... More

Like a great many other people we came to stay at the Riu Don Miguel due to our usual hotel, the Neptuno, being unavailable due to roadworks. The main reason for staying there was that the location was still adjacent to the Yumbo and it appeared to meet all our requirements as a hotel. On our arrival our checkin was... More

I had been to the Neptuno several times and liked it there. I know a lot of people go back to this area so: This is just as good, to be really accurate i would say better public areas, gym and pool at the Don Miguel, but maybe breakfasts at Neptuno better. The pluses to Don Miguel hotel are first... More

I thought it was a hotel for adults, so why do they always tell off guests like little children? These guys are amateurs of customer service. First of all they try to sell you their worst room. Just tell them you are happy to change into the room you really want tomorrow, but don't compromise! The evening buffet doesn't include... More

Spent a week at the RIU Don Miguel As expected from a RIU hotel high standards, great service and exceptional food. Our room was of a good size, clean, comfortable, but we did request a high floor but got ground floor which would be ideal for an elderly couple. Also it was situated above the out side restaurant area so... More

Having stayed at the 4* Hotel Neptuno for a number of years, we opted to try the Don Miguel Hotel on this visit, since roadworks on the main road where the Neptuno is situated has forced it's closure for 2 months. Why the Don Miguel is rated 3* is beyond me since it has absolutely everything the Neptuno has to... More

The hotel Riu Don Miguel is a nice 3 stars hotel, located, just 2 minutes walk from the Yumbo centre, shops, bars and restaurants. It is a very gay friendly hotel with very welcoming staff. The reception area, as well as the pool area and restaurants are very modern, and stylish. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from Praya... More

the pool and sunbathing areas were excellent, very spacious and well appointed, the reception staff were courteous and helpful, however, many of the rooms were a route march away from the reception and the first floor wasn't served by the lift, so guests with walking difficulties may have a problem. The restaurant was on a lower level and lacked ambience,... More
