Not a 5 star but for the price a very good 4 Star. All the staff were very poilte and professional and nothing was too much trouble. Getting a sunbed was no problem. Even my 11 year old son was happy staying there. The little extras make all the difference, and being all-inclusive worked really weel, as majority of drinks... more

One of the best hotels that we encountered in the area. Many of the other nice hotels are located near very touristy areas (such as Playa del Ingles) whereas the location of this hotel feels more exclusive. There are 3/4/ nice restaurants (2 by the sea) within 5- 10 mins walking distance of the hotel if you choose Bed and... more

My husband and I stayed here for our 45th wedding anniversary and we very impressed. However, the hotel is like a Grand Old Lady who has become a little faded in parts! Whilst the hotel, bedrooms etc were spotless, the whole place is in need of an upgrade with regard to carpets, bedroom decor etc. Apart from that that there was... more

We enjoyed staying at this hotel - it was a very quiet hotel, in a quiet resort. Located right on the beach, which meant an easy change to go from poolside to seaside if you wanted to! Bedroom decor was a bit dated, but that's not really what matters on holiday - you don't really spend a lot of time... more

A good hotel in San Augustin. Very traditional spanish with atmosphere. You can easily tell that the people working there have been there for ages. Good service. Excellent breakfast! Nice and large outside-area with nice, large pool + additional baby-pool, SPA, poolbar etc. Very good location straight on the beach of San Augustin. Highly recommend this hotel. more

I’ve just got back from a week’s all inclusive stay at the Melia Tamarindos Hotel in San Agustin, Gran Canaria. I would recommend staying in this hotel but do not consider it is worthy of its 5 star rating. The service is 5 star but the décor in the hotel is a bit dated and I consider a 5 star... more

Impossible to book with children. Having a room rate on their website of 90 Euros for a double, we called the hotel to inquire about traveling with children, and the best rate they give us is 255 Euros. Then we inquire about two rooms at the 90 Euro rate, and they tell us that they may not guarantee that the... more

We have travelled a lot to the canaries and alway stay in 5 stars all inclusive, but this hotel has to be the worst hotel we ever stayed at. first the rooms were very small, the bed was rock hard we could not sleep in it. eventually after 2 days we had to check out and move to another hotel (palm Beach)... more

Our favourite hotel in the Canaries - have stayed here no fewer than 27 times since 1987. Hopefully that speaks for iteself & gives this wonderful hotel the credit it deserves. Ignore any earlier dodgy reviews I cannot understand how anyone would have a problem staying here. Beautiful location, great facilities, shopping, nightlife, its got the lot. Plus its own... more

Just come back from Gran Canaria and stayed at the Melia Tamarindos Hotel. Very clean and tidy. Endless supplies of shampoo, shower gel etc... in the rooms. There was no charge for the room safe either. The mini bar was not too expensive either. Pool area set in tropical gardens, next to the spa. Treated ourselves to a massage average... more
