My wife, our 4 year son and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks (half board). This was our second visit as we had a week here last year at the same time. Once again we booked a junior suite which gave us access to the ‘Level’ extras, such as a Lounge, free internet and a separate sunbathing area.... More

Stayed here for the first time after fifteen year break, great place, very nice. Staff really friendly and helpful. I suppose the acid test is would we holiday here again, definitely yes. Stayed bed and breakfast so can't comment on Dinner, had lunch a few days and that was reasonable in price and good quality.

The Melia Tamarindos is truly an Old Grand Hotel type of property situated in an enviable position in quieter San Agustin amongst beautiful well-kept sub-tropical gardens leading to the beach. Tamarindos in Spanish aptly means, by the way, -Tropical evergreen Trees. It would be a bit of an unnecessary but well-meaning exaggeration to classify the Melia (but please The Melia... More

Stayed 10 days in February. Excellent facilities and staff. Location could not be better; direct access to the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Stayed in other hotel in previous years but the Melia is very much better. Will certainly return and have already advised others to use it.

We stayed in this hotel in February 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. Friendly staff, good Food ( buffet ) lovely gardens leading to the sea front with a very good walk along the promenade. The hotel is of the old style with plenty of space, although the bedrooms are not large.A lot of the staff had been at the... More

Stayed 4 nights at this nice hotel. It is a very large hotel, yet very well maintained. I would rate the occupancy to max 50% and there were a lot of free space allover. Yet it doesn't feel strange in any way. They keep all facilities open. Great pool area, great breakfast, OK location and friendly staff.

The hotel is a very good holiday hotel. The buffet dinner is of a very old standard with an excellent selection. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has excellent facilities throughout. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Visited the Melia Tamarindos in Gran Canaria for a week. Booked a superior room with sea view and all inclusive at a great price. We were upgraded to The Level, which meant separate check in, dedicate concierge for Level guests. Drinks and snacks in a separate lounge area etc all in all are you feel that little bit special. they... More

Stayed there for the second time, and we will be there again in March 2015. Excellent service, large rooms with seaview, best breakfast buffet we ever had.So no question to decide to come again. Close to the airport by a 20 minutes bus ride, but no plane noise.

A very well run and professional spanish hotel with high comfort and perfect location. Wonderful ocean view from the rooms fronting the ocean and with a wonderful garden. Good location for shopping at Vecindario Atlantico shopping center and walking distance to several restaurants in San Augustin or Playa del Ingles.
