We booked these apartments after reading some good reviews. Don't believe them. The staff were ok, always seemed friendly and helpful, and yes on the face of it the lounge/dining/kitchen area looks fairly good, but the whole apartment was filthy, particularly the floor which coated our feet in black within minutes of taking our shoes off. Just got back 26/06/09 was worried when i read the bad reviews but dont worry only 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to the strip with all the shops and bars ect only stayed for 5 days not cleaner came in the whole time we were there also note that you have to leave a deposit... more

Just back yesterday (5th Oct 08) from staying at the mariposas appartments had a great time appts were nice and clean weather was great but reception staff were so ignorant and not very helpful! We have just come back from a family holiday in Salou staying in these apartments..well,to be fair they were basic to say the least (and before anyone jumps,we paid a fair bit for our 7 nights!!) The reception staff were very slow to sort out keys/rooms etc..the receptionist herself was British,but less than helpful if boardering on rude..and the accomodation... more

The place was good loads to do in the area, some great pubs and clubs like Kiss and The Salon. And there was plenty to do at Port Aventura the local theme park, although we needed more than one day to fully enjoy it, so I would recommend buying a week ticket. There is a trend in Spain to build apartments that can be used for residents (sale or let) and also double for budget minded tourists.
