3rd time back at Alay after 5 year break. Not much changed in that time except Americano bar now open plan ! Just spent 3 weeks in the Hotel Alay, Benalmadena. The location is great so near marina, beach, bus routes and the lovely walk through Carihuela to Torremolinos. Great holiday my partner and i stay at this hotel twice a year location is fantastic right across the road from marina. Staff are fantastic and breakfast great, rooms are a little dated but very clean beds very comfy. As for the area marina great so many great restraunts especially sakura chinese/ thai i have never tasted any asian food... More

We spent 5 days over Christmas here in 2010. A nice, clean hotel, with very good location next to the Marina. The hotel was a bit dated but staff were very friendly. Food was ok, but there are plenty of lovely restaurants at the Marina. There are lots of bars around this hotel too

Stayed in the Alay for 3 nights 5-7 October....last time I stayed here was 2007. Have to say not a lot has changed. Could do with a make over.....however service is gr8 ...Cant beat 1.30 euro for a vino or beer. Very central close to the Marina and the the bars and restaurants...try the Greek restaurant fab.
