We stayed in an apartment rather than the hotel. The apartment was clean and adequately furnished with a separate bedroom opening on the the living room and kitchen. It had a balcony which overlooked the Spanish street. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the locals go about their business. The town was typically Spanish and very... more

The hotel is broken into hotel rooms / apments and studio flats. we were in a studio flat which i expected a pull out sofa - instead it was two pull down beds. it is situated up in the mountains in the old village and it is lovely - white wash buildings and everyone knows everyone. there is about a... more

We booked this accomodation because it was the only two bedroomed apartment with a lounge in Benalmadena Pueblo that I could find. I should also say from the start that we paid £85.00 between 4 of us for 3 nights and we did have a very happy time there. This apartment is booked through the Hotel La Fonda, but is... more

Just don't go to these apartments! After been giving the keys to 5 apartments at La Fonda - we still never found one that had basic cleanliness. In all, the last guest's food spills were visibly- crumbs and grease on cookers, mould on walls and in one apartment someone had wiped make-up down the walls! And the black pubic hairs... more

Have just returned from La Fonda. Stayed in self catering studio which was clean and adequate. Had microwave, toaster, coffee maker and satelite TV but unfortunately no English channels. Took a while to actually find Hotel which is hidden down small winding streets and no parking. Eventually found apartment and parking, area very quiet and quite a way from Benalmedena... more

We stayed for 10 days in a 1 Bed apartment which was exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable and used the hotel as a base for touring in the area. The hotel is situated in the old town of Benalmadena Pueblo - a couple of miles inland from the coastal resort of Benalmadena Costa. It is quite difficult to find,... more

We have just returned from a week in Benalmadena Pueblo the appartments were dirty, crumbs under the microwave, broken work tops, bits of food on the crockery and on the fridge shelves. The appartments are nothing like the photos on the websites we visited, and we visited a few. We had a studio, which had patio doors , if we... more

We stayed in one of their two bed apartments which was much larger than I had expected with tons of wardrobe space. The apartment was only a few minutes walk away from the main hotel, situated in a a very picturesque area of Benalmadena. I would definitely recommend it. more

We stayed at this hotel in October, expecting a charming hotel in a charming old town on the Costa del Sol. We first of all can´t recommend the Costa del Sol to anyone due to the horrible amount and type of development that´s going on there. The Hotel La Fonda has not only a view of this development, but is... more
