We had travelled from France and wanted a hotel to start our trip into the Black Forest so Hotel Rossle was perfect for us. We were welcomed and shown to a large bedroom with sitting area and balcony at the back of the hotel overlooking river - very quiet ,all spotlessly clean. Hotel very close to all amenities - ATM,... Hotel Rossle is a very small hotel, but has all the amenities necessary to ensure an enjoyable stay in the tiny village of Alpirsbach in the centre of the Black Forest. The rooms are relatively large and very clean. The hotel is owner-run. Breakfast is very adequate. We travelled by motorcycle and the owners let us use their private garage,... More

Pro: Family run. Nice atmosphere. Very clean. Excellent breakfast buffet. Free parking. Helpful staff. Central location. Cons: Standard room bathroom in older part of hotel very small and outdated, not as shown in pictures (maybe we had the last Booking.com room ?). WiFi only available by purchasing Telekom Hotspot card (5 Euro for 24hrs).

What a great place to spend a night. Actually, we rather wished we could have stayed a week. This is a painlessly clean and comfortable hotel in a delightful location. We were all charmed by the ambience, facilities and friendly staff. The rooms were spacious and tastefully furnished - and really quiet too. We stayed on a day when the... More

Charming Black Forest family run hotel with just the most lovely people! Loved my little balcony overlooking the old town of Alpirsbach. Great base from which to explore the Schwarzwald! Was not able to experience the restaurant as it was closed when we were there but the breakfast was ample and delicious. Really appreciated the owner recommendations for dining that... More

We didn´t stay at Hotel Rossle but had lunch there during our Black Forest tour. It is a nice place with very good food and service. They have no specific lunch menue so you select from the a la carte which has both international and local dishes. We liked the local main dish but loved the dessert we had which... More

Ended up here by chance on road trip through Southern Germany and liked it so much that I adjusted a later trip itinerary to pass through a second time. It's not that it is a very luxurious place. 'Just' a typical German family-run country hotel. But the owners are very nice and friendly. One feels genuinely welcome and that's what... More

My wife and I spent two nights here in August 2012 while on a two week driving holiday in the Black Forest. En route from our previous hotel we visited St Peter and Triberg and we used Alpirsbach as a base to visit the lovely villages of Wolfach and Schiltach. On our arrival the owner was very welcoming and spoke... More

With monastery and brewery tours in walking distance, this small hotel packs the punch of a local classic Black Forest Hotel. Go with halpension(breakfast and dinner) for value and convenience.

When you're in The Black Forest you really do want to FEEL like you're in The Black Forest - this hotel does it on pretty much every level. Really delightful front desk and restaurant staff. This hotel and restaurant probably represent the best value for money I've experienced in a long time, not to take away from the excellence of... More
