We had a great stay at Hotel Rossle, which is a lovely family run concern in the beautiful quiet town of Alpirsbach. We had two rooms a double with a sitting area and small balcony at the front of the hotel that looked over the street and a smaller single (that could have slept two) for our daughter that had... I arrived in Alpirsbach without a reservation. The hotel that seems to be connected to the brewery had no rooms but recommended the Hotel Rossle, which is a short walk away. I walked passed a few restaurants and shops; crossed a bridge where a stream (or possibly a small river) flowed underneath; and veered left. There it was; the Hotel... More

Arrived at the hotel to find it closed, various envelopes on the door for expected guests, but not ours. After several minutes a helpful lady arrived and managed to make contacts with the owner, we were then taken to a room that was not made up, the lady promptly made up the bed. Later the owner who was very pleasant... More

The hotel is visually striking, with the newer half blending seamlessly in to the half-timbered original side. There is plenty of parking, both under the hotel (perhaps 4 spaces), over the street and along the street (which I guess would be needed if every room was taken by drivers). The welcome was incredibly friendly and with impeccable English. We were... More

Atmosphere in the hotel was great. It was a mix nationality crowd, with a cosy family touch even among the guests-which I had never come across before. Being vegetarians we were skeptical on the food but surprisingly the chef treated us with delicious tasty food.

Finding the hotel was easy and we could park in front of the hotel for free. We were welcomed by a friendly lady and accompanied to our room. In the room we were informed about breakfast and the opening hours of the kitchen. The room was very spacious and clean. The best was the immense balcony having a view of... More

We had travelled from France and wanted a hotel to start our trip into the Black Forest so Hotel Rossle was perfect for us. We were welcomed and shown to a large bedroom with sitting area and balcony at the back of the hotel overlooking river - very quiet ,all spotlessly clean. Hotel very close to all amenities - ATM,... Hotel Rossle is a very small hotel, but has all the amenities necessary to ensure an enjoyable stay in the tiny village of Alpirsbach in the centre of the Black Forest. The rooms are relatively large and very clean. The hotel is owner-run. Breakfast is very adequate. We travelled by motorcycle and the owners let us use their private garage,... More

Pro: Family run. Nice atmosphere. Very clean. Excellent breakfast buffet. Free parking. Helpful staff. Central location. Cons: Standard room bathroom in older part of hotel very small and outdated, not as shown in pictures (maybe we had the last Booking.com room ?). WiFi only available by purchasing Telekom Hotspot card (5 Euro for 24hrs).
