I stayed in several hotels over the last week. Paid much more than this one, but this is what I had hoped to find in the others, and was left unsatisfied. This hotel has a humble authentic german feeling. The sounds, the smells, the finishes, the blankets... if you are looking for something modern, this isn't it, but if you're... More

Stayed here with friends in order to visit a nearby War Cemetary. The hotel is an old 18th century coaching house and houses an extremely popular restaurant - as we discovered upon arrival. The restaurant was absolutely heaving from 12.00 mid day until 10.00pm. A very good sign!! Rooms are clean, nicely laid out and new. Comfortable beds, good shower.... More

We booked for 3 children and 2 adults on hotels.com. By arrival we were met by a man (guess he was the manager) with a rude behaviour. He almost did not have time to talk to us, and he was very suprised that we were 5 people and not 4 (almost seemed angry). The room was simple, but spacious. It... More

We booked using booking.com and suspect we might have got one of the not so good rooms as a result of paying in advance and the discounted rate. That aside the good points are: staff speak perfect english, free parking, good size room and bathroom; decent breakfast, the kitchen was very busy and there was a great buzz about the... More

Stayed here for one night as part of a cycling tour of the Rhine and Holland. Three of our party, (me, my partner and our 13 year old son) were put into 'The Suite'. This turned out to be an enormous double room with separate additional double room for our child, a large shower and bathroom together with a small... More

I know 5 stars on any rating must be suspect, but I can't think of any reason to give it a lower rating. I enjoyed my two night stay at the Hotel Doppeladler. The staff was super friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. The rooms were clean and well stocked with the essentials to make it convenient. The food is... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

Stayed here for two nights with friends. Rooms were okay, clean and good beds at a reasonable price. The best thing of the hotel is the restaurant. Great food, good price and because of that fully booked every night. Breakfast was okay. Staff very friendly. One minus: the bar is in a small part of the restaurant, and when dining... More
