Just returned from good stay in La Plagne. Accomadation had everything u need and a local Spar next to reception. Not much nightlife in 1800 but you can get buses to the other villages. Just stayed in the Maeva aptments in La plagne 1800. Very basic but nice apts. The outdoor pool at the reception was just bliss after a day on the slopes. (Sitting in water at 29 degrees while its snowing .. what more can you ask for.)
The La Plagne area is just a great resort for all types of skiers...

We also were unfortunate and had one of the car park apartments. Febuary 2007. No sleep !! drunks, delivery wagons horns. awefull

We stayed for a week in January 2006. The apartments were very central and convenient for the slopes, bars and restaurants but our room (and many others) faced onto the resort's lower car park. Every night we were awoken by singing drunks waiting for taxis or hanging out after the bars close at 3 or 4am and by the dump...
