Owners indifferent to the point of rudeness. Dated rooms, poor breakfast (9.5 euro each), shut after 9:30 so you have to access via the stair case using an entrance code, expensive to park (9 euros), generally not a good experience in any way. Owners aren't hospitable (particularly the reptilian lady owner)... Don't dare turn up 5 minutes early for breakfast...... More

Rude and disinterested owners where awful, we felt like we were intruders rather than guests. The breakfast was sparse to say the least and the croissants were about 2 days old. Parking is a laughable €9.50 in the garage area, about the same as a city centre multi-storey at home. Go somewhere else to spend your money.

Our short trip in Northern Fance statred in St Omer and of the 3 hotels we stayed in we rate this as second because of the rather poor en-suite. Dinner was good. Being on the edge of town it was a reasonable walk into the centre.

Stayed here one night, noisy hotel rude owners the Ibis is a better location and cheaper. Had to make breakfast choice on check in as they had to 'order' the bread. Good parking for motorbikes was a plus, after 9:30 you have to access hotel through a fire escape!!! If you are not bothered and just in transit it's ok... More

-on the edge of the city centre-10 mins walk to main square -early check-in not allowed - informed abruptly by the manager -room very dated-but functional -bathroom very dated-but functional -WI FI ok -the complete premises is closed at 9 30 pm, after which guest access is via a backstreet, thro a garage & fire escape stairs to rooms! -very... Used this hotel as a stopover after driving from Switzerland and before catching the train through the Chunnel back to UK. Hotel was clean and the room had all we needed for an overnight stay. However, the hotel definitely needs modernised. A few things that annoyed us were you needed to pay extra for secure parking on top of the... More

Having read some very contradictory views of the hotel,i wasn't sure what to expect. Glad to report that we were two of those that had a great experience at the St.Louis. A warm welcome from a charming gentleman who explained the parking both on the street or in his private car park, before taking us to our room. This was situated... More

Group of six on a post motor racing weekend trip. Chosen because of secure parking and location. Maybe looks a little jaded externally but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Decor slightly old fashioned but in keeping with the style of a typical French provincial hotel. Good restaurant and excellent food. Proprietors very helpful and costs reasonable. No complaints at... Had been here 15 years earlier in transit during our honeymoon. This time came with 2 young children. How it's deteriorated. Over €140 for a family room with very basic breakfast. Won't come again. Desperately needs an update from 1980s decor. We've paid much less for much better in France. Owner looks like she needed to retire; so does the... More

I always enjoy using the St Louis as a stopover on the way home - it provides a nice end to the holiday. We had a lovely, warm welcome on arrival. The rooms are clean, fresh and pretty. The food in the restaurant was great and we were given excellent advice on the wine. Always a real pleasure to stay... More
