Came across this family-run hotel/restaurant when planning a short hop across the Channel & looking for somewhere a little more interesting than the usual Boulogne/Calais haunts. The hotel is just a short drive from St-Omer Centre and is even nearer the A26 autoroute junction, back to Calais - €2.40. Despite our early afternoon arrival, we were given our rooms quickly... We had lunch at this hotel earlier this week. The food was was okay and the location is convenient for Calais. However the chef/owner/receptionist is extremely rude and grumpy and ruined the whole thing. Despite a completely empty restaurant he made it clear that he wanted us to leave as soon as possible and was clearly not happy with us... More

I have stayed at this hotel before, and returned because the rooms are fine, the place is not far from the channel crossing and the restaurant is good. But, when we arrived on Sunday we were told that the restaurant was closed, and further advised that it was always closed on Sundays, and presumably therefore we should have known. Having... More

We stayed here just off the ferry, and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The surroundings are very quiet. The only reason for 4 stars is the room we stayed in: a bit dated, but clean nonetheless. We would stay here again in the future.

We have stayed here before and chose to stay again as it's very well positioned, comfortable, dog friendly and has an excellent chef. The room is simple, in a chalet in the grounds, but just what we needed after a long day's drive. The restaurant is excellent and food delicious, our dogs were made welcome in the restaurant too. It... More

This is a large rural country house, now a hotel restaurant. It's equidistant from Boulogne, Calais and dunkerque. Rooms are in chalets in the grounds. Clean, quiet, comfortable and peaceful at night. The restaurant serves good quality evening meals, although not of the high standard we thought they might be given the setting. Excellent for a stopover or a longer... More

A one nighter, great room overlooking Saint-Omer. Quite gardens, perfect for an aperitif. Now the really good bit, the food. Foie Gras for both of us to start was great. Rack of lamb was easily the best I have ever eaten, simply melted in the mouth. My wife had cod which was also excellent. Cheese board and chocolate mousse to... More

We arranged to stay for one night before catching the ferry home. We wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens, safe for children to run off their energy after a full day Sat in a car, without interpreting with other travels who are not travelling with young ones. The rooms we stayed in were... More

We were expecting the worse, we need to stay over before catching the Ferry, We were pleasntly surprised the Hotel stands in large grounds with lovely views and lots of outside seating. Even though the Bedrooms are a bit quaint there are clean and ok. The owner is a lovely chap, and the Restaurant was outstanding quality, just one point... More

We have stayed several times at this charming hotel which is ideally placed for a short run to the ferry terminal or Eurostar. The hotel offers clean well equipped dog friendly rooms, and on of the best restaurants in the area (into which you dogs are made very welcome).
