We just wanted a quick / economical stopover near Calais/the autoroute, but this was rather better. Welcoming staff, large room with excellent beds and very quiet. Good breakfast buffet. Plenty of parking space. Good free wifi. Ideally the place could do with some redecorating but it was clean and that's really just a quibble, especially given the modest price.

Stayed here for 1 night. .room was clean and comfortable but very basic..very noisy from traffic ..window opened to the road outside. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Ideal position for town, only 10 minutes walk. Ok for a couple of days, wouldn't want a long stay I would stay here again for short periods.

Stayed here for one night as part of a coach tour, very basis bedroom, old water stains in the toilet,, that said the staff were friendly and pleasant. The bar area is quite cosy. To a walk but the area the hotel is located in looks to have seen better days, the plus is its location to the channel ports,... More

This is a hotel that has not afraid to be French. It is the antidote to internationalism! It used to be an important railway hotel in the grand days of railway travel, but now it is popular with people travelling to and from the port of Calais, and world war sites and memorials. Quietly comfortable with a good restaurant which... More

We recently stayed at this hotel along with out two dogs and were not disappointed. Situated in a quieter part of town the hotel has much to commend it. Friendly staff, comfortable room, free car parking, excellent restaurant with good choice and reasonably priced. A bonus with having the dogs is a small park adjacent to the hotel, ideal for... We booked this hotel the night before and were not disappointed. The room and Hotel was very clean which I think is the most important thing. It's not luxurious but more than acceptable for a night or two. 10 minutes walk from the main square but we found an excellent local restaurant within a few minutes walk. We would have... More

The hotel, friendly staff. Tidy rooms. Great value. We didn't pay the Earth to stay so we didn't expect it to be amazing. It was fine, only real issue being no drink making facilities (I.e. kettle) in the room. No big deal really. We didn't opt for breakfast there as well as we had plans and would be out and... More

By the title I mean it is a nice hotel for transit, when travelling from the UK to far away further down (or over....) the continent, but also for exploring the lovely region of Nord Pas de Calais. The Breakfast room, as well as the actual breakfast is very nice, the outside of the hotel, including parking facility are more... More

The hotel looks fine from the outside and stepping inside there's an impressive looking stair case. But that's as good as it gets. Our room resembled a cupboard. Strip lighting, lino floors and cheap, nasty furniture made it all a bit grim. It was very dated, but not in a quaint or traditional way - but rather in a utilitarian... More

Blame it on my age, but I foolishly booked the wrong date for our stay in St Omer. On arrival, I announced, in my best schoolboy french, that I had a reservation. On checking, the charming receptionist replied that my reservation was for the previous day. She told me not to worry; they had a room for us. She could... More
