This is the 7th time I've stopped here. I live in N.E. England so after a 6hr drive to Dover this is an excellent overnight stop. The rooms have everything you need but cannot be described as luxurious. The broken drinks machine in the lobby has been done away with and there is coffee/tea in the rooms now. Improvements have... A great little hotel right next to the station and an easy walk to the quaint town. We stayed in a triple room at a fantastic price. The restaurant served good value filling food in superb surroundings. This is an ideal stop over for any one using the Dover - Calais ferry.

We stayed at this hotel for the second time in late November. The place was quiet - but that's how we like it! The car park and access is much improved since we last stayed (bigger/more spaces and easier access). We had the same room as our last visit - basic but clean with a very comfortable bed (although the... More

Stayed here effectively as a stopover en route back to Calais ferry port. Had booked having seen other reviews and the "quirky" nature of the building. NOT disappointed. €55 got a perfectly serviceable room, with small bathroom area behind sliding door. Quiet despite being a stone's throw from St Omer SNCF station. Used the brasserie for evening meal as this... More

The Chic o Rail is a nice little hotel situated conveniently within St Omer. Has ample parking for its size, and it close to local amenities, including the rail station, as you'd expect. The hotel has a restaurant too and there looked to be a fulfilling eating menu well priced, with specials too. We didn't eat at the restaurant but... More

I stayed here whilst spending a couple of days following Le Tour. Perfect base for exploring the surrounding area and a reasonable walk into town. Handy location for the ports but far enough away to be in "real" France. Saint Omer is a lovely little town with nice shops, bars and restaurants. I didn't have breakfast, preferring to walk into... We stayed for one night en route back to the UK. The hotel was originally part of the mainline station and very pleasantly situated in the town. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was plentiful except for the lack of ham and pain au chocolat! Service was friendly and some of our friends enjoyed the dinner whilst we... More

A triple room for 55€ cant complain! Yes the room had a funny smell coming from the toilet but we managed it by keeping the window open and the fan on. It's not a big walk into the centre it's actually a nice walk of about twenty minutes. We went for an evening drink up at one of the bars... More

Stayed one night in this hotel in May 2014 after driving all day from Germany, so we could recharge our batteries for ferry home from Calais next morning. Calais is about 45 minute drive, set your sat nav to avoid the tolls, why pay them when the road you travel on runs alongside A26 motorway for most of it. Nice... More

Stayed here for one night in September. The reception is small but very stylish with great flooring. The restaurant looked very nice but I can not comment any further on this as we didnt eat here. However anything above the ground floor looked in need of a make over. the carpet on the stairs was all torn and very dirty.... More
