Considering that kids these days are restricted to hanging on street corners or at local parks because of activities and area. Then this place allows your kids a bit of freedom. No football shirts! Also a curfew on the playground. Excellent for the surfing family, relaxed and good rotisserie chickens, book before midday!

Just returned from a 9 night stay here at La Pavillon Royal in Bidart. This place is amazing and really easy to get to. We stayed on Pitch 31 overlooking the sea which was fantastic. You could see all the Surfing and sit on the beach and relax without having to go very far. The toilets are really clean. They... More

This campsite is mainly about the location, if you're looking for a 'on a surf beach' campsite, this should fit the requirement. Every group gets an electronic key to the beach gate, and from here you are less than a minute from the beach which is pretty clean, well patrolled by attentive lifeguards and adequate surf during our stay (1st... Apart from being a beautiful place to stay, right close the beach, but the thing why i say it is perfect is... When I stayed there, I really badly burnt my feet (second degree burn from the sun), couldnt sleep for three days. The amazing people at La Pavillon Royal took care of me which I feel they shouldn't have.... More

Great campsite with pretty much its own beach (through an exclusive path). Pool and play area are fairly basic but with the sea so near you don't need much. Facilities, shop and restaurant were all good and the staff friendly. Parking can be difficult depending on your pitch but if you just want somewhere to camp and surf from without... More

We have just returned from a weeks camping and I must say that all our expectations were well and truly exceeded. The tent pitch we stayed in was perfect. Excellent size for a tent plus gazebo and still room to spare. The shop on site was well stock however only 5 minutes up the road was also a Lidl and... More

Direct access to the beach, pitches at the ocean side (unfortunately not for us...), a well-stocked grocery shop, fairly clean toilets and showers. All good, but not worth the €50 a night. There is a street next to the camping site - a lot of youngsters go to the beach at night and talk/shout. Lot of Dutch people.

Where do I start! We booked a 3 night stay camping in the UK about a week before our visit, and were charged £25 as a booking fee, in addition to the campsite cost. When we arrived we could not seem to determine what this £25 actually paid for, other than peace of mind we had a pitch. Expensive and... More

I have stayed at this campsite two times and both times were perfect. I know quite a few campsites on the French Atlantic coast and this has become my favourite because it is closest to the sea. And it is close to the airport, which costs 20 euro to get to by taxi. The atmosphere is nice and friendly. Sanitary... More

We have been for 2011 and 2010 camping summer holidays! Location is great with easy access to the beach for waves and surfing. You can walk into town as the local buses are a bit unreliable. Pitches are sometimes small but they all are France ! Toilets blocks are clean and the site is maintained well. A security patrol at... More
