When we arrived at the hotel, there was no free parking space(on the street), so Ieft the key to bell guy to park somewhere in the parking lot. Room is spacious, clean and wide variety of amenities with good qyality. We had a very comfortable night. Breakfast is excellent.

Great hotel in the middle of the Alsatian wine route. Typical of relais et chateaux's in small French villages, it had an old time charm to it with decor to fit. We were treated to wine and Madeleine's when we arrived (which was a wonderful touch after our travels). Staff could not be more friendly for the front desk to... More

We loved staying there as a beautiful respite between all the cities and villages we visited between Strasbourg and Colmar. Nice to come back as relax in beautifully turned down service in a comfortable spacious room with a very large bathroom. Large soaking tub, separate shower and WC. The folks there were kind and helpful and proud of their estate!... More

Placed here by Espace Randonee, the wonderful company that organized our Alsace biking trip. 4 star qnd clearly deserving. Great location in the historic area, first rate service, amazingly comfortable rooms. We wanted to stay more days to enjoy this hotel. Breakfast was great. When we arrived tired from biking, we were greeted with wine, cookies, and fresh fruit compote... More

Having decided to do Hertfordshire to selestat in one hop, we both arrived stiff, shattered and quite bad tempered! However the staff soon got rid of all feelings of murder with a charming greeting and then husband had a long soak in a beautiful marbled bath room with loads of lovely smellys,I had a quick shower, we then proceeded to... Some reviewers have expressed disappointment at this Hotel, however we stayed here with a group of friends on a cycling trip of the Alsace Route de Vins and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had no expectations or preconceived ideas and were very pleased with the rooms and the service. This was the nicest Hotel of all those pre-booked for us on... More

We spent several nights at the Abbaye de la Pommerale while exploring the Alsace wine route. The property has a tired, slightly depressing feeling to it. While our room was spacious, everything seemed worn, particularly the sagging bed. Not what we expect from a Relais & Chateaux member. As others have noted, the hotel is in the middle of a... More

We had to stop in that region and chose a package junior suite/diner/breakfast because it was a Relais&Chateaux and generated only a few extra miles. In all fairness, the price was very competitive and the service was excellent. However, whilst it is difficult to give a bad rating when the service is excellent, I must say that the diner experience... More

Stayed here for one night enroute from Switzerland and it was disappointing. There is nowhere to sit and enjoy a pre dinner drink apart from in the main hall area with a couple of chairs. We ate in the Apfelstuebel where the food was nothing special compared to other Relais Chateaux. Breakfast was a rip off. Why do none of... More

Stayed 2 nights here in the beautiful tache suite. Cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams are charming to look at but tall hubby kept hitting his head on occasion. This is a two floor suite with washroom downstairs. Careful in booking if you have mobility issues as the staircase is quite narrow as are the steps themselves. That being said,... More
