After a three night stay, we felt that this Relais et Chateaux property is best suited to a one night visit that includes dinner at their Michelin-ranked restaurant, Le Prieure. Although the hotel is charming, its surroundings are not. The three artistic treasures of Alsace include the cathedral in Strasbourg and the Retable d'Issenheim in Colmar. The third is the Humanist Library in Selestat. Quite possibly, the last is the least visited. Hence, you can browse the ample display of 500-1000 year-old books pretty much in privacy. My second stay at this hotel, I wanted to share with my husband the uniquely Alsatian ambiance of this hotel in general and the top-floor rooms in particular. We had a wonderful stay at the Abbeye Pomeraie in Selestat, in the Alsace region of France. The room was beautiful (old refurbished abbey) and super clean. The staff was very kind and helpful! The food prepared in the hotel dining room was very good. Higher end spot and it met all our expectations! more
