A Headwater stopover. Amazing dinners. Breakfasts were a complete contrast and a disappointment both days, insufficient staff, 1, who didn't or couldn't replenish essential supplies. Room was good. Spa was a bit disappointing. Pool was fine as was jacuzzi but changing room was tiny, hot rooms needed time to warm up and the shower washed down the floor outside.

Convenient hotel for Rouffach, nice terrace and brasserie, also gourmet restaurant attached. The room had a clean white decor and a nice view onto the vineyards and the chateau (4* up the hill). The first receptionist when we arrived was rather sharp telling us that we were too early to check in but the rest of the staff were friendly... More

I stop there one night because of a wedding in the castle just next. I have asked an upgrade for a "chambre supérieure". Check in: ok, nice and quick and they can give you information of where to go. Room: ok. The bed was short (always in France) like 1m90 and I'm 1m92 so you can imagine... No plugs around... More

We paid our annual visit here (4 nights) for a gastronomic stay (Restaurant, not the Brasserie) combined with long walks along the vineyards. The food was excellent as always. We noticed a non-negligeable increase of the prices on the wine card. The rooms are good, but there were a few small issues. Staff are very kind and helpful. We will... More

Typical cozy style of Alsace. Very friendly staff. The room was rather small but offered comfort. Very quiet location in a nice village to do some walking after dinner. 2 restaurants are available: gourmet and brasserie.

Very nice place - you can taste the wine, make long walks tru the vineyards, enjoy the swimming pool and admire the storks nesting on the chimneys... The hotel is cosy and there are two restaurants - we mostly ate in the Brasserie because the weather was very good , so we could enjoy the lovely terrace in the evenings.

I have paid 49 euros for a "single" room, even though i got a queen-size-bed room (hotels in general do not offer single rooms anymore). Everything is clean, rooms are BIG, with an old-style (even they are not really old for sure) furniture that perfectly fits the place. Didn't try the breakfast. They also offer local wines for half the... More

We spent a night here en route to the sun. We got a reduced rate; I found the full rates to be very expensive and would not have been good value. It's a lovely old building, in a nice area. Furnishings, fittings and decor are all good. However, I found our room to be quite small and the bathroom was... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during a cycling holiday in Alsace. Reception was brisk and efficient. Our room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was good, although on the second night we had lamb which was impossible to cut because the knives were so blunt. Service was excellent. Breakfast was good, although my coffee mug was seriously cracked and... More

Two years ago I reviewed this hotel (14.6.2010) and I castigated it for not having an en-suite toilet door and a bed that made my backache. Against my better judgement I had to use it again. I requested and got a room with toilet door. What a difference a door can make! I have to retract my earlier review. As... More
