We stayed at the castle for a romantic weekend. The rooms are beautiful and decoration is well thought out, although bathroom is relatively old and could do with a more modern set up. The view from the room is amazing. The castle is on top of the hill, with a view on the vineyards and village. Definitely try the dinner... More

This hotel is worth a detour and a splurge. The view from the room was a highlight. There is a pleasant garden in back and a superb restaurant. The typical village of Rouffach is worth the visit and this is a good base to visit other wine villages.

Chateau d'Isenbourg towers on a hill over the small typical Alsatian village of Rouffach, which is quite charming in its own right. Easily discernible from Route 83 as you approach, day and night. and a weave thru town from the highway back to the top of the hill. Nice views from there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; the... More

We had to wait for check-in for more than 1 hour even though it was 14:30 at arrival. Once in the room we recognized that it was faced as mentioned towards some small wine yard and the black forest, but also towards the heavy traffic highway, this was not mentioned on the internet. The bath room is very small and... More

It was just for two nights that I stayed in this hotel and I have good memories there. The view from the terrace is great, you can see the snowy peaks of the Alps. In the back you can sit in the pleasant garden and watch the vineyards on the hills. The rooms are a bit outdated but alas, this... More

I stayed here during a bike trip across Alsace, and it was magical. With it's own vineyards and lovely views to the west and south, it's a very special experience. i spent an afternoon with friends beside the fountain and in the courtyard overlooking the vineyards sharing bottles of wine, and all was good. The only drawback was a not-unusual... More

Called her on spec on route from Italy. Was initially offer a room not in the main building for 120 Euro. It stank of damp and was old and musty. I refused to stay so they offered me a room in the main building that was allegedly 350 Euros, which I agreed to pay 150 Euro including breakfast. The main... More

We stopped here for just one night, en route to Italy. Although not the easiest place to find, the Chateau is signposted once you are through the town centre. Once we arrived, the first impression of the Chateau was impressive, albeit strange looking, owing part of the building looking more like a lighthouse. (Assume this was some kind of viewing... More

Chateau d'Isenbourg is a beautiful hotel to stay in, the rooms are spacious and well equipped and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is so relaxing to sit and have a drink or a meal overlooking the vineyards and the village of Rouffach down below. It is a lovely area to cycle ( bicycles are available from hotel)... More

This was one of my best stays ever internationally. The views were amazing and if you like sweet white wines, there is no place better on the earth. I was staying as part of a business trip, but look for an opportunity to return with my wife. The breakfast was amazing, however if you do not speak the local languages,... More
