Turned up at Le Gambrinus early afternoon to find the place locked and deserted. Had I read the booking confirmation I would have known that check-in wasn't until 5pm but I didn't so we had a couple of hours to kill. We made a start by having a lunch at L'agneau Blanc just round the corner then drove to nearby... More

Stayed for two nights at Le Gambrinus. We stayed in a suite that composed of a bedroom, sitting/dining/kitchen, bathroom and separate w/c. There was a small balcony off the living area that added to the charm of the place. I was given a full tour by the non-English speaking owner and all went well. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable,... More

If you like the minimalist modern sort of hotel, don't choose this property. If you want something with oodles of character yet with all the mod-cons, you will enjoy this. The owners' love of Alsacian traditions is evident in every corner, in the unique furnishings, in the painstaking restoration. We appreciated the well-supplied kitchen, wonderful firm beds, super bathroom fittings... More

We stayed in the apartment for 2 days and wished it had been for a week or more! The charm begins with parking your car inside a rustic enclosed garage that leads to your apartment. The apartment was a true delight, rustic old farm styling with kitchen dining room and ultra modern bathrooms. Furnishing are antique with wooden clothes hutches,... More

A wonderful find! Unfortunately we chose to stay on a Monday & the restaurant was shut, nevertheless, the room was wonderful & truly comfortable. We parked within the gated courtyard & were delighted by the peaceful ambiance. The apartment was beautiful & full of Alsace character with plenty of self-catering facilities - beautifully adorned; it was abundantly clear that a... More

What a fantastic place. The whole area from Colmar, Riquewihr and surrounding towns are wonderful. Le Gambrinas in Beblenheim is out of this world. The quaint old chambers d'Hotes, is wonderful. The rooms are rustically furnished in Alsace style. Excellently priced, with a true French welcome. The restaurant serves Pizza, cooked in a wood burning old style oven, or succulent... More

It was a very pleasant surprise to discover this wonderful accomodation in the picturesque village of Beblenheim! From the outside you couldn't have guessed the beauty of the apartment in the very old but well preserved building! The rooms were large ( we had a bedroom, a bathroom,a dining room, a small kitchen and another two bedrooms + one bathroom... More

Le Gambrinus could well be from a fairy tale. It reminds of Hansel and Gretel. The larger suite is fabulous, with a larger sitting room, separate toilet, complete and modern bathroom, lovely bedroom and small balcony with table and chairs for a romantic evening together. The breakfast is unsurpassed in its quality and all you can wish for to have a... This was probably the weirdest place I've stayed in, but it was great fun and was generally pretty good value. Le Gambrinus is tucked in a hidden away corner of a hidden away cul-de-sac in the middle of Beblenheim. We had reserved a double room for 2 but what we got was a good sized apartment with a double bed,... More

This is a beautiful place to stay, made completely authentic by lovely old furnishings and thoughtful decor. The timbers of the ancient building plus the smell of wood smoke from the ovens, make the place feel warm, secure and welcoming . However the welcome comes from the kindness and care of the owner - thanks Mme Klein! The pub seemed... More
