I just wanted to say that Indygirl174 gave a thorough and truly honest review. Read hers first if you haven't. I just came back from 4 nights/5 days at the hotel and I had a wonderful time. I had read some comments about the airport and had concerns about it being so close. It really was a non issue and... more

My husband and I stayed at Grotto Bay for a six-night anniversary get-away last week. I read many reviews (on tripadvisor as well as other sites) and felt like I had a pretty good idea of what to expect at this hotel. The rating on Expedia is 3.5 stars and that's pretty much what you get. So set your expectations... more

Gave this hotel a very good for our needs but maybe an average if you are looking for something else. We have stayed in three parts of Bermuda. Downtown Hamilton, South Beaches and now at Grotto Bay, near airport and historic town of St. Georges. We travel a fair bit and have been to various islands. Bermuda is safe, clean... more

Bermuda is beautiful, no matter where you stay! The resort is very pretty, the front desk is accomodating, the bell hops are funny, the concierge is great, but the rest of the staff moves slow. The food at the resort was ok, not terrible, but average to slightly below average. They try to be upscale, but fall flat. The rooms... more

The hotel setting was beautiful; great views from our room. Kids loved the beach right next to the pool, with fish to feed, easy snorkeling. Pool also very nice. Kids swam in the grotto - quite unique. Maitre d's and staff in restaurant were very nice, but front desk staff were somewhat officious. Didn't mind the climb back up to... more

I don't usually post on this site, but I read so much before we left and I have to say the negative reviews were more accurate than the positive ones. I have to ask myself if we were staying at the same hotel that people on this site were raving about. We travel to tropical places at least once a... more

Bermuda is a big beautiful island, safe for you to travel anywhere and people are soo friendly and polite. Lots to see and do! Beautiful resort, close to the airport and close to the main roads to get downtown or go site seeing. The beach is nice, resort is huge and even has underground caverns for you to explore. CAUTION:... more

Well, we just got in from Philly airport, and thought I would take some time to either advise you or warn you about this resort. We arrived on Tuesday about 2pm. [ when you arrive& check-in, don't expect bells or whistles.] We carried in our own bags, and were not taken to our building. You are checked in quickly ,... more

As a teenager I rated this hotel a VERY GOOD because it was a great hotel except there wasn't much to do for teenagers. Good: the water sport activities, the view of the water, and the location(ice cream store is nearby...best ice cream ever & the Swizzle In) Bad: the annoying roosters and tree frogs, the size of the pool...small,... more

We have been to Bermuda three times and this was our first time at the Grotto Bay Resort. This hotel is definitely a very class act! The hotel is absolutely perfect in every way. From the minute that you enter the gorgeous lobby, you can just tell instantly that this is a place that the management/owners have taken everything into... more
