Lovely hotel. We had a family room which was actually two separate linked rooms with a single ensuite which was perfect. Lovely sitting room, bar and gardens. Breakfast was excellent and was a good choice of traditional cooked breakfast and other fayre. Very relaxing

We all had an extremely pleasant stay at the Colonsay Hotel. Our room was simply wonderful with views across the garden down to the harbour, comfortable bed with beautiful crisp linen, lovely food and comfortable sitting areas. Staying there was certainly a highlight of our holiday and we will certainly return

From checking in to checking out, the service was fantastic by every member of staff. Advice on where to travel to on the island, walks that would be manageable, quality of food, comfort in the rooms ..... Just perfect!! Seán & Mary K

Stopped for a much needed drink after the long slog to Oronsay and back. Quaint hotel, great service at the bar and friendly locals to welcome you. If the weather permits, sit outside on the patio for a view overlooking the garden and the harbor. It's lovely.

A lovely hotel on a lovely island, a great relaxing vibe with not too many guests and well lit open fires and wood burners to snuggle next to with a book/scotch or both. Necessary because it will rain ! I loved the fact that they keep wellies for all users and publish the weather and feasible causeway crossing times to... More

Colonsay is somewhere to go to get away from it all... and 'The Colonsay' is pretty well the only hotel on this lovely island. But there would be no better choice! The rooms and décor are fresh, clean and modern with the most comfortable beds & line. Food was lovely and generous. Perhaps the WiFi could be powered up a... More

Stayed here recently for three nights as part of a birdwatching trip. The Hotel was very nice and the rooms large and comfortable with all the usual amenities, except no TV in the bedroom, which didn't really matter anyway. Food was excellent especially the local seafood. Ideally situated for the few shops, amenities and ferry terminal. Well recommended.

My husband had stayed here before we met, so he was keen to bring me back. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and there always seems to be quite a bit going on (the bar is basically the island's pub, too). Our room was comfy, with good views down to the little pier and beyond, and the food was delicious... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in April 2014. I stayed here mostly for its location on the island as I didn't have transport (near the ferry and shops) and this was why I paid the £78 per night, rather than be in a more economical B&B miles away from facilities. I was travelling on my own, so... More
