Our double room was on the 1st floor, with a beautiful view of the El Escorial Monastery. It was plain but very comfortable, with a large bathroom. Only complaint was that the whole hotel (rooms, bath, lobby,etc) need to be redecorated....it is still in the 1970's. Breakfast buffet was good.....in the antiquated dining room.
