Very good hotel located outside of Madrid (really outside) in this small but historical city of Alcala de Henares. Centrally located and built in a historical building the hotel has very good facilities, rooms are very spacious, modern and comfortable although since I stayed for a business conference I did not really have the chance to enjoy them as much... We were told this hotel was on the outskirts of Madrid. 30 minutes by car. 20 minutes to the airport by car. Alcalá is a nice little town, but not much to do. Nice one night stay, at most. Cuenca is a better choice. Unique and lots to see. Alcalá de Henares is very generic and not by any means,... More

A very up-to-date take on the parador, with more that's modern than ancient, in contrast to the typical parador experience. Breakfast was excellent and the bar was attractive, though nearly empty the night we stopped in. The lively college town of Alcalá is right outside the door and offers many options for dining and shopping. Convenient to Madrid's airport, which... More

What a wonderful Parador such a surprise to see such a modern hotel and really liked what they had done. We arrived after a long journey and found the staff polite and helpful. Our room was really wonderful just had to get used to the state of the art buttons to press and two entrances to the bathroom. We had... More

This should have been a wonderful experience but in the end I wished I had stayed somewhere more basic because I didn't get the extra service I expected at this hotel. I booked the Parador because they had great facilities, the spa being most attractive. But the spa was closed as was the pool area. We asked for two keys... More

We loved everything about this beautiful parador. The check in was very efficient and charming. A lovely surprise were the canapés delivered to our fabulous accommodation. Also as Amigos we enjoyed our glass of Cava too. I cannot criticise anything at this parador. Our room, more like a suite, was superb. The dressing room was amazing. I loved it. Dinner... More

Located near the city center of Alcala de Henares, 10 minutes walk from the railway station, it is very, very nice. Rooms are big, with many possibilities for lightening( you can choose witch space to be enlightened), with a wonderful marble shower, continued by the bathtub, with spacious dressing and confortable bed. Each room has large windows giving onto a... More

A fantasic development of a medieval monastry site. This is one of the lastest Paradors and the design is cutting edge yet somehow manages to retain the feeling of a traditional Parador. We found this hotel on a trip from southern Spain. Alacala is a lovely mostly renovated medieval university town, some 30 mins drive from centeral Madrid. A great... More

We were looking for a good hotel in an interesting city for a relaxing break before the British winter gets going and we were so happy with our choice. The staff on reception were able to speak English which was a bonus due to our pathetic grasp of Spanish, likewise the restaurant staff, and all were very helpful. We stayed... More

Beautiful building, with excellent services and enormous, clean and perfectly equipped rooms. Perfect location. Breakfast was very varied and delicious. Maybe lunch isn't as great but there are lots of options around the hotel to try some of the local specialties. If you can afford it, I recommend the stay here.
