We stayed for a week on a birdwatching tour than took over the hotel. Juan Pedro and Belen were keen to help throughout the week, our room, number 1, was huge with great views of birds feeding in the fields nearby and a lovely dawn chorus of Serins and sparrows. During a 4 day birding trip near Trujillo, Spain (May, 2005), my wife and I stayed at this glorious hotel, about 12 k outside of town. Juan Pedro and his wife, Belen, went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. He helped with the luggage, coming in and going out. She prepares the meals. Not much choice, but... more
