This hotel is absolutely charming, the property is in great shape, the rooms have a lot of personality and the location is good. Being used to New York hospitality, (New Yorker living in Madrid) I found disappointing that when I checked-in the staff was not at the Front Office and I went to the patio looking for somebody and 5... This hotel is situated just outside the historic centre of beautiful Trujillo. Restauration of an old convent, the hotel offers lovely rooms well decorated and well insulated around an interior patio. Ask for a room in the old part. Breakfast excellent. Price-quality excellent. Small swimming pool. Parking your car in the garage requires some expertise.

This was our favorite stay in Spain, over a six city journey! Although the convent was bombed out, this institution rebuilt the medieval town landmark very tastefully so that it felt true to history and elegance. The most impressive amenity was the courtesy of the front desk staff who wore genuine smiles. The low point applies only to those who... More

As an art history fan, one of the highlights of my recent trip to Spain, was staying at the Izan hotel, in a room with its own fresco from the 16th Century. How amazing. The hotel was lovely: the restaurant was so good we ate there each night. The breakfasts were delicious, and the room (116 I think) extremely comfortable.... More

The parking was a bit difficult, but that has to do with the central location. Another not so good situation was the temperature in the room. Too hot, and reducing the temperature resulted in the room heating up?? Other than that, quiet environment, nice classic decoration, reasonable variety during breakfeast.

This is a wonderful, stylish Hotel, located on the town outskirts, but with easy walking to all of the attractions. There is easy access, secure underground parking; however, the concierge suggested that we left our car parked on the street and save 15€. As it was November, and late afternoon, there were a few places available. HOWEVER, when we went... More

What a pleasant surprise. Fabulous room and location. Trujillo is a terrific town, with a wonderful Plaza Major, and a great selection of restaurants. The hotel is ideally located within a short walk of the Plaza Major. This hotel is a must if you stay in Trujillo.

A beautiful hotel, rooms are very spacey and very nice decorated, just in the style of the hotel. In the past this seems to be an old monastery. Hotel does have a nice swimming pool and in the morning a very rich breakfast. Location of the hotel is near the centre which makes parking really terrible. The hotel does have... More

It's a bit unusual to find a decent quality hotel in a converted monastery within a short stroll to the centre of old town. Even more unusual to find one that has a pool which you really appreciate on a 37 degree summer's day! The pool isn't very big, but it does the job. You have to take the room... More

We stayed two nights in this hotel because we wanted to see Trujillo, which is truly one of the great (f relatively unknown) treasure cities of Europe and to visit the Monastery at Yuste, where Charles V spent his last years. The hotel is a converted convent completely modernized with a charming patio and a small but perfectly usable swimming... More
