If one has an early flight out of Athens, the Sofitel might be just about the only choice. It is VERY nice, but quite expensive. One major payoff - it is *walking distance* to the airport. These days with transit issues from Athens, it makes for the place to stay for morning flights.

A very good hotel for business trips....... Not very convenient for those who wants to visit athens.....Good choise for fresh fish and clubbing especially at summer is Loutsa, a seaside nearby village. And if u prefer grilled meat go to Kalyvia (also in the near area)....

This is the place you stay when you have an early morning flight. Very quiet and comfortable 4 star hotel - I would compare to a Fairmont if you are from North America. We stayed for one night before a morning flight. The location is brilliant and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but we found the hotel room very small, with a dark and outdated feel.
