The rooms are clean and air conditioned. The price-performance ratio is very good. The staff is courteous and very helpful, also if you do not speak the spanish language. If possible, take a room on the third floor directly at the veranda. You will love chilling there with a great view on the lake Petén Itza.

Nice location close to good restaurants and bars. The rooms are a good standard and the little patios overlooking the lake are a very nice touch. The place is a little run down but it was fair price for what you got! The Internet connection was good and the staff friendly - though they didn't speak any English and us... More

We stayed here 2 nights. The rooms are pretty big and have nice views of the lake. Our shower was covered in black mold on one side which was pretty gross. Also shower only lasted 5 min max with hot water. Other people in our group said they didn't have the mold issue so it could be isolated. Very secure... More

Casazul is a charming little hotel right on the water. The proprietress is very nice, though neither she nor any of the other two employees speaks a word of english. The rooms are basic, but clean. The bed was comfortable - the sheets were cotton and had a decent thread count (though not luxurious). The shower had hot water and... More

Casa Azul has a perfect location on the island, has spacious rooms and a helpful staff. The hotel could do with a little refurbishment and change the rusty items in the bathroom and fix the electrical socket that is coming out of the wall. The management of the hotel is done at group level and there is where the problems... More

Dear Customer, First of all, thanks a lot for your comment and sorry for what happened. The staff from the reception that was in that moment was new, and they got confused, so we apologized a lot! We are already working in your case to see what can we do. Best regards, Hotel Casazul More

We stayed here for 1 night after staying in Tikal National Park. We had an early flight the following morning so chose to stay in Flores. We had a room with a lake view, a big walk in robe, a bathroom with hot water (a luxury after coming from Tikal), air conditioning, a refrigerator, free WiFi and walking distance to... More

Me and my husband decided to stay there a night before and after our trip to the ruins of El Mirador in Guatemalan jungle. It's rather clean, as for Southamerican standards and quite. The room was spacious and with a balcony with nice view to a river. Not so cheap place but I think there is none budget place in... More

We loved Casazul. My son and family stayed there in 2013 and recommended it. Easy to walk around Flores from the hotel. Lovely views of the lake from the top floor balcony. Staff was very helpful with directions for restaurants and taxi to get a chicken bus to our next destination.

The staff at Casazul were helpful and booked our shuttle to Tikal as well as a taxi to the bus station at 4.20am. The hotel itself is basic, but a good base to have in Flores, near restaurants and shops. The room was quite big, on the ground floor with a nice view over the lake. Despite being cleaned daily,...
