We recently had an overnight stay here as a special trip to get away from our young kids. Jose, the GM, was extremely nice at check-in and gave us a lovely corner room. The room had a beautiful and comfortable king bed, plantation shutters, and large bathroom/shower. It did not have a tub, which was fine with us. Every room... More

I stayed here for two nights and found the Grand Hotel to be a charming old-style Texas hotel. The room was huge with high ceilings, beautifully decorated and clean with a very comfortable bed. I didn't have too much interaction with the staff, but what I had was very welcoming. It's right in the center of the historic area of... More

I was in Mckinney for business and stayed at the Grand Hotel. It was awesome!!! Great rooms and service and the restaurant and bar were really nice. There are a lot of things to see and do with in walking distance. I will definately stay here again.

My warning to anyone who is looking to stay here or have their wedding at this venue- THIS HOTEL IS DIRTY AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. We stayed here for 3 nights and our room was filthy. We checked in late on Tuesday and when we went up to our room all of the pillows were on the floor.... More

i'm here for a wedding and the Grand Hotel is a nice surprise. It's run as a friendly family style hotel with lots of local charm. My room has 16 ft ceilings and one wall is exposed brick. Furnishings are tasteful Texas sized and comfortable. Well worth revisiting if I pass this way again.

Myself and several friends stayed here for New Years this year and had a wonderful time. Such a quaint historic hotel with lots of character. Dinner at Rick's was superb and we loved hanging out in the square. I feel so blessed to live in a place that has so much to offer!

The Grand Hotel is conveniently located on the square, close to the history museum and village, the theatre, and plenty of unique shopping. Be sure to make reservations at Rick's Chophouse which is in the same building. The bar ialso has great food and sometimes live music. If you have 2 nights to stay, make reservations at Harvest Seasomal Kitchen... More

We booked the romance package for Friday of Valentine's weekend. This hotel could not have been more perfect. Everything from booking room, to checking in, to all the experiences overall. The staff was super accommodating! They wanted to know when we would arrive so that our champagne and strawberries were in the room waiting. They helped with car parking and... More

The rooms at the Grand Hotel are lovely. My room had exposed brick, high ceilings and a very comfortable bed. The room was immaculate and the staff warm and helpful. Wonderful hotel for a leisure trip. However, for a business stay, the small desk had no power outlet near by to plug a laptop into. To charge one thing you... More

Had an opportunity to stay at The Grand Hotel in downtown McKinney in December 2014 while in town for a party at Rick's Chophouse. Small, rustic hotel. Furnishings were really nice, bedding was excellent. Big, high ceiling rooms give the feel of what hotels were like 100 years ago. Makes for a great evening to stay at hotel and eat... More
