August 11, 2014. If you plan to make a call and ask for information about hotel services, then get ready for bad bad costumer service by phone. The girl, who said her name was "Nina", answering the phone at night (around 11pm-12am) has a horrible attitude and is very incompetent when asked questions regarding the services the hotel provides. It... More

This is not the hotel I expected. The hotel at first looked good, but there was a family who entered next to us that had a dog. Which dogs are allowed, when I get to the hallway the dog of the family had pooped in the middle of the way. They should do something about it! Except for this and... More

Recently found the Pear Tree Inn advertised in a coupon book you pick up at the Travel Information Centers. Advertised, snacks, drinks, Wi Fi and breakfast. What a find. This hotel was great. Reception was very good. Clerk was very informative about the area. I wanted to go for a run/jog he directed me to an excellent path and park... More

WE arrived on NOv 17th at 2 pm.It was nearly impossible to find a Rio Grande Valley room because the hotels were full of people from Mexico for the Mexican 3 day holiday weekend. I had stayed in Pear Tree and Drury Hotels dozens of times in the past and was happy with them. This time though,we were placed in... More

This was our first stay. We were greeted at the desk by a most gracious, charming and efficient host, Mr. Mireles. He made us feel special, even though we were road weary travelers wandering in off the highway. We encountered him again as we took advantage of the complimentary evening snacks and again at breakfast. He was in constant motion... More

The hotel is located in an excelent area, just over 83 Expressway, you are only a couple of miles away from dowtonw and the mall, and 25 miles away from Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlets. Our visit started off OK, but then it went downhill. After breakfast, we left to go sight seeing. Later that evening, we came back to our room. Nothing had been done to the room --- not cleaned, beds not made, towels not replaced, trash not emptied! When we complained, they tried to say that we had put the do not... More

I have stayed at this hotel many many times. It's always clean and they give me a good rate. The new girl they have working the desk is not the norm here. She's rude and tried to argue with me about when the last time I stayed here! I'm guessing it was her boyfriend at the counter the whole time... More

My husband & I stayed here for a week in early November along with other members of a butterfly watching group. Rooms are simple and clean and such a good value. Liked the glass elevator and free breakfast selections. The Happy Hour (really 1.5 hours) is a nice "perk", and we usually made it back to the hotel each evening... More
