It was 2:30 a.m. & just needed to sleep a few hours. The first room there was broken glass in the bathroom. Second room someone must have pee'd in the toilet and they didn't clean or flush. I wore socks in the shower. We didn't use the blankets or pillows. HORRIBLE!

The rooms were filled with Roaches alive and dead. There was Black Mold Growing all in the bathrooms. The doors and walls of the entire room were so Unclean and literally Nasty. They would not give us a Refund of any kind . Claimed Roaches were there because of the rain. The Blankets had HUGE Holes all threw them

I have stayed at this little motel...Back then it was the Ranch Motel. Quite, back in some beautiful oak trees. There are older little cabin-type rooms. Clean comfortable beds, micro-wave, frig and TV, wi-fi and good heater. The newer rooms are priced a little higher than I want to pay. I'm not used to paying for faxes and copies, so... More

Sewage smell in the room, carpeting so dingey and sticky I wouldn't walk on it without my shoes, and blood stains on our sheets. I've never seen such a filthy hotel. Housekeeping staff was really nice, but I felt bad for her. She brought "clean" towels that were thin as the bedsheets. Just never, ever bother with this place.

This use to be an ok place to stay. Boy, has it gone downhill. Keep driving if you can and stay somewhere else. The bed was very lumpy and mattress was old innerspring type. Room had a perfume smell that was overpowering. There is NOWHERE to eat a decent meal. Ended up at Subway. We tried to sleep a few... More

We travel extensively and have encountered the scope of lodging. "Old" IF clean is tolerable. NASTY under any circumstances is NOT. Disgusting sums up the cleanliness of this place. YEARS of filth. Tub did not drain. Stool unustable and literally bucked. Trays for ice bucket/coffee maker grimy. Bedspread thread bare. Microwave with splatter. Furniture/TV were new. To top it off... More

Found this small private motel in my search for a place to stay in George West (about 20 miles north of Mathis). The oil boom is BOOOOMMMING in the area and many of the main stream motels are booked solid for months at a time with workers. If you are going to this area, DO NOT wait till the last... More

My wife and I have stayed here many times over the last few years. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Never had any bug problems. They recently added HD TVs. Hotel is family run, friendly and helpful. My only request would be to buy new towels.

Finding large (over an inch long) bugs in the room was nothing compared to the piles of grit in the corners of the bathroom. The so called new rooms are new only in comparison to the original little buildings crumbling into the ground. Having a small fridge is nice, but it would be nicer yet to have a small microwave... Very nice and clean rooms with new lobby area also newly rennovated rooms on the new addition. So why pay more at franchise when you get all at this hotel including High Speed Internet which we never expected. Keep it up. Will come back soon with more rooms.
