This was our second time to stay at the Hotel Matador. We stayed in the room downstairs. Everything was great again this time. Everyone was very friendly and breakfast was outstanding. Will stay again next time we come through and would recommend to anyone traveling through.

My husband and I stayed here last night on a one night stay driving through west Texas. Linda and Marilyn, were very kind and hospitable. Room rate was very reasonable. Included breakfast and free wifi. We stayed in the library room, which was small but clean and no bathtub. Only a small shower. this is a one horse town. Dont... More

A colleague and I stayed at this super small B&B for only 1 night, but wished we could have stayed a lot longer. From the lovely accommodations to the friendly owners/staff to the incredible breakfast, everything was great about our stay! The breakfast was wonderful--green chile fritatta and an apple crisp with creme fresh were two of the highlights. I... More

The reception here was warm and gracious. The property had many historical and antique pieces which are lovingly cared for. Breakfast was fantastic and the best I have ever eaten in a B&B. Management was very attentive. It is located in a small town which was very quiet at night. I would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel Matador to... More

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Matador. They have taken a truly wonderful old building and made it a comfortable place to stay! The breakfast was delicious and the hospitality was superb.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Matador and we started planning our return before we even left. If you just want a place to kick back and relax, this is a good place to do it. We enjoyed the early evening in their courtyard and the downstairs common area is a nice place to read books and magazines. The... More

Linda greeted us and showed us to our room. It was comfortable and perfect for our two night stay. These ladies have taken a building that was in total shambles and turned it into a lovely B&B with so much character and charm. The breakfast was fantastic. We had a wonderful time, met interesting people and enjoyed our short getaway.... More

The hotel and its owners are a welcome oasis and pleasant surprise. The atmosphere, friendliness, and food are all exceptional. My wife and I are very grateful that Hotel Matador exists and will return each time we are near Matador.

I can't say enough positive things about this place. It has been remodeled on the inside and it is shocking on how well this looks as soon as you walk in. It is a diamond out in dusty west Texas.
