I have been hearing from locals how much I needed to go to Chinati and finally got the chance to do so. Wow! This place is so fantastic I really do not want to tell anyone about it so I can keep it all to myself! Originally built in 1937,renovated and modernized to today's standards, this place is a true... I was planning on stopping by on my way to Spring Break with my kids, and after researching their website, I contacted them via email to get some clarifications on some things. Their reply was "Everything is on the website." That's a rude reply and it really turned me off. I will be sure to NEVER go there.

Hot springs tend to occur in off the beaten path locations, and Chinati is way, way, way off the beaten path. A real gem of the Big Bend area, Chinati Hot Springs is an excellent choice for getting away to a remote resort for relaxing, lounging and soaking in the refreshing warm waters of the ancient spring. No, there is... More

Eight of us found our way here after our annual trip to Big Bend National Park. It was a further drive than we thought but certainly beautiful driving thru Big Bend State Park and along the Rio Grande River. It is a long drive as well off of the main road but don't give up. We booked El Patron which... More

AWESOME! It was the perfect place away from it all. The 360 views were lovely. The water temperature is naturally perfect. I only wish I could have spent more time there. I'll plan another trip and stay longer. Loved it!

We took the dirt road to there from Marfa in a four-wheel SUV. It was a long and slow drive but definitely worthwhile with majestic views. We booked the "El Presidente" room with its own hut tub. The room was very sparsely furnished and not luxurious but clean and comfortable. The private bathroom was tiny but adequate without any toiletries.... More

Amongst the desert grays and beiges is a small oasis of green. It is miles from anywhere so bring your own food and drink. The communal kitchen is well stocked with refrigerators, stoves, coffee makers and grills outside. We came by way of Big Bend Natl Park and Presidio's choices for fresh fruit and vegetables is pretty pricey (the manager... More

The rooms are small, have no outside locks on the door(!!), and some do not have a bathroom in the room, but the hot springs were quite nice. We hiked around the area, then returned for a hot bath. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment, and was quite large, so no one felt crowded when several of us... More

A group of friends and I have been going to the hot springs for 3 years now, and our annual trip is always a lovely time. I like that you can get some great exercise hiking, then come back and loosen up sore muscles soaking in the hot springs. The kitchen is great, and we have a fantastic time cooking... More
