We just returned from a weekend trip to Marfa and enjoyed our time at the Tumble In. I made reservations online about three weeks before our visit. When we arrived the spot we chose was taken so we called to notify the owner, left a voice mail and our call was returned in a few minutes. He suggested a different... More

Went to see the Marfa Lights and stayed in our RV Here. Pretty nice and very basic. Good pricing and is on the honor system as far as payment. Close to Marfa and to the observation point for the lights. Now for the down side. Very near an active railroad line. At least 3 LOUD train come through very early... More

The train does not blow its horn where we are but the train does come by at the back of the property and the noise level is what you get in Marfa, less actually since the horn doesn't blow. Our tent campers have never complained. But some people are more sensitive. Thanks for taking the time to write a review... More

I used the internet for reservations and paid in advance. I had some interim questions and called the number. Never returned my call, but they did place a note in the make shift check in area. This place is RIGHT off the highway and (I swear) practically connected to the railroad tracks. Normally the railroad noise doesn't bother me--but this... More

We try to always call people back but I guess we missed this man and he was mad! The only thing he gets right is the restrooms are nice and clean. And there was a nice old guy broken down there but he's gone now. Also the train is close (it runs straight through Marfa) but it does not blow... More

This is a nice little park, clean with a good bathroom/shower and washer and dryer. They have wifi. I think this would be really nice in an RV, but in a tent it's rather exposed and has noticeable road noise. The designated tent spots are pretty depressing, just some roped off areas in the weeds, but the sites with water... More

Thanks for your review. We are working on the tent spots and have recently fully paved the road to them with caliche and taken down some of the temporary markers. We've also bought the property adjacent toward the highway so there's a lot more room. The entire camping area is irrigated now and we are growing trees and bushes which... More

We stayed at the Tumble In for a few days in August and loved it. Drove from Austin in our Sprinter Van with elec hookup, we slept in that but also pitched a tent at our site. Pull thru's were big, sites were very clean. The plan was to camp one day then travel and stay in Alpine at a... More

I stayed at a place through airbnb that was located in this park. The park iteself was clean, well taken care of and easily accessible by bike/walking from town. The only downside I saw to the place was poor water pressure in the shower... Besides that- it's definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone coming through, long or short term.... More

We stayed at the Tumble In from June 28 until July 7. We loved this place. Please understand that this is not your typical "RV park" with a pool, ice machine, kiddie golf, and potluck dinners. It is a facility with well spaced RV sites, good water, strong electric, and sewer hook ups for your RV. (Note that two of... More

Hubby and I stayed with our two small dogs for the Easter weekend. Despite the size, small and quaint and it very much had the desert feel as well as the view of the beautiful mountains. It was quiet with the exception of the train a few feet away. Everything close by and a walking trail for our dogs. Restrooms... More

We stayed three nights in the RV park May 19-21, 2014. We happened to choose the three days that were extra hot for Marfa - normal 80 degree temps soared to 91...There were only two other campers there, so we had it to ourselves. From the cute little trailer used for the check-in office to the available washer/dryer/stove and refrigerator... More

You could easily not notice or fail to take in just how cool a little spot the Tumble Inn is. The RV park is on Rte 90 east of Marfa, close enough that you could ride a bike into town. It seems to run on the honor system, with a little self check-in station as you enter where you consult... More
