We were told we got the last available room, Good Friday of Easter weekend. We called 2 months in advance, so naturally I asked...."what's happening to fill up that weekend?" How lucky it turned out to be !! The wedding guests filled the lobby, courtyard, restaurant, etc. and were delightful folks. Everyone was in a festive mood, ALL of the... More

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Paisano. They know they have a monopoly, because the room was small, the bathroom tiny, and while it was clean, we wish there were a sheet over the covering on the bed. However, our biggest complaint was that in a town with almost no places to eat, we found ourselves, on easter Monday,... More

I would give this place 5 stars except it feels just a little expensive for the value. It was a great place, beautifully maintained and well appointed. We only stayed one night; no negatives with the staff. Positives: A beautiful courtyard to enjoy an evening with a drink in the cool evening air (however, you could enjoy it as a... More

I should say, right out, that this is not a 5 star hotel. Bathrooms are too small, some elements are dated. This is a hotel for people who appreciate loving restoration and a feeling of authenticity. I am traveling back to NY from a winter in California. I stayed in the sister hotel in Van horn, Texas on my way... More

We really enjoyed our evening at the Paisano in Marfa. The hotel is very easy to find, on the main street in a very small town. Our room was very clean and comfortable, looking out on the inner courtyard. We enjoyed being able to open the french doors and listening to the courtyard fountain. The hotel and surrounding street/courtyard was... More

We were glad we booked this hotel as it is built by the same architect as El Capitan in Van Horn. We enjoyed them both. Its like stepping back in time. The rooms are small as are the bathrooms but with everything you need. We ate in the restaurant ( or at least outside) and really enjoyed our meal. The... More

If you want to feel like you're stepping back into the 50s, this is the place. No updates save for a new pedestal sink and chrome towel bar. The room had a small terrace with outdoor fireplace stocked with a duraflame log. The room was tiny, and the bath room and closet (not a walk in) measured the same size.... More

Stayed here 3 nights, maybe one night too many. Historic merges here with dated. Good location. Enjoyed learning about Giant movie in the lobby. Had a room with a large shared porch. Bathroom and shower among the smallest ever, part of that historic building I guess.

Our trip to Marfa started with a two night stay in one of the Hotel Paisano's Historic rooms. We did have our small dog along with us on the trip and the hotel does require a pet fee, but that wasn't a big deal for us. We were in room 233 and were surprised with how large the hotel room... More

This is a great hotel. Lots of history, charm and comfortable surroundings. I've stayed here quite often when I'm in the area and the service has always been great. The beds are super comfy for a great night's sleep. The location is perfect....you can walk and sightsee from the hotel. I recommend the restaurant, as well. The food has always... More
