We stayed one night (11/21) in room #107, which is a room with a patio. My wife and I really liked this hotel. The rooms are small and the hotel is old but we knew that going in and we had a pleasant stay. They had chimeneas in the courtyard with wood so that people could sit outside and drink... more

Don't waste your time. The town is horribly overated, more like an entire HOAX. This is no where close to Santa Fe, or an artist community. The Chamber of Commerce website that promotes the town sure did get a great marketing campaign because we fell for it. After visiting Fort Davis and the Indian Lodge and Big Bend, one would... more

Although I had made a reservation, confirmed, and had the multiple emails - they had the wrong dates when I checked in. I asked if there were any cheaper rooms available, and was very pleased with my tiny room with the shared patio overlooking the inside courtyard (at a better rate than I had originally confirmed). Yes - it's old,... more

You have to look past all of the urban money that plagues the Paisano these days. My grandaddy stayed here when he was in his ranching prime and I have enjoyed my visits here throughout my childhood and now share them with my children. It wasn't that long ago that the Paisano would leave your room key out on the... more

Unfortunately for the Paisano, we stayed at the Gage Hotel the night before. Paisano isn't half the hotel as the Gage. Partially (that is generous) renovated, its Old Charm was just Old. The grill food was mediocre at best. Bedding was old and thin. Staffing was thin. I recommend staying in the patio rooms at the Gage, dining at the... more

Beautiful and super clean hotel, wonderful staff and quite helpful. Be sure to have a glass of wine or coffee in the courtyard in the cool evenings. more

$210 for a room in Marfa TX????? $4 for a hot chocolate at the restaurant around the corner? When did Marfa become the NYC of Texas? This is a partially restored historic hotel well located near the courthouse in Marfa. Yes, the place has charm, history and ambiance. It also lacks some modern amenities like an elevator! There is a... more

We stayed here for two nights. The temperature in Marfa was wonderful. Right around 85 degrees in June. We were not expecting that and were pleasantly surprised. We spent a lot of time in the courtyard of the Paisano. I took my coffee there the first morning and the kids played around the central, large fountain. It was relaxing and... more

We loved staying at the Hotel Paisano. The staff was very helpful. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the courtyard. The restaurant (only open for dinner) had good service and good food. The hotel is a historic hotel that is within walking distance to many places in Marfa. The hotel is well... more
