I wish I could only write “I loved it!” But it asks for 200 letters. The Paisano offers a boutique feeling for a reasonable price. Rooms are small, which I expected since it's an older building. Our bedroom was well kept and clean, loved the outdoor fireplace in our room. Marfa was an oasis in the middle of nowhere, will... More

I liked the hotel, but we had a very small room. I should have reserved a bigger one. The hotel is attractive, has a nice restaurant, and features an attractive outdoor patio. It is the best hotel in Marfa, an artistic gem in the middle of the plains. The movie, "Giant", was filmed there. the staff of the hotel were... More

Quirky place in a quirky town. The staff were very friendly. Note there is hardly any place to get lunch in Marfa including the hotel. If you arrive hungry it may take a while to find food. The room was comfortable with a nice balconette looking over the courtyard. I was underwhelmed with Marfa compared to other little towns we... More

Hotel Paisano offers a great location with historic spirit in which to experience all of Marfa. For those on an arts pilgrimage visiting the Judd and Chinati Foundations, this hotel is a good central location and you can easily walk to your Judd Foundation tours. As many have stated, it is a step back in time once you enter the... More

Take a step back in time as you enter through heavy glass and rod-iron doors under stained glass windows. The tiled hall beacons you to a beautiful lobby adorned with old plaster columns, fresh flowers, local art, and faded photos of the cast of 'Giant'. The cast stayed in this very hotel during the filming of the movie in 1956.... More

The Paisano is a throwback to another era. No phone in the room, no cookie-cutter rooms that look exactly the same….it’s all about personality & character. Designed by Trost & Trost, one of the Southwest’s most prominent architect’s in the 20’s & 30’s, the building is a gem. Rooms may not be the most-up-to-date, but that’s not what you come... More

I stayed at the Paisano at the end of April, 2015 and loved everything about it. The hotel is beautiful. The courtyard is AWESOME for sitting outside and having a bottle of wine while watching the birds fly down to your table to get chips or nuts leave there for them. Our room was great. The beds were very comfortable... More

We were told we got the last available room, Good Friday of Easter weekend. We called 2 months in advance, so naturally I asked...."what's happening to fill up that weekend?" How lucky it turned out to be !! The wedding guests filled the lobby, courtyard, restaurant, etc. and were delightful folks. Everyone was in a festive mood, ALL of the... More

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Paisano. They know they have a monopoly, because the room was small, the bathroom tiny, and while it was clean, we wish there were a sheet over the covering on the bed. However, our biggest complaint was that in a town with almost no places to eat, we found ourselves, on easter Monday,... More

I would give this place 5 stars except it feels just a little expensive for the value. It was a great place, beautifully maintained and well appointed. We only stayed one night; no negatives with the staff. Positives: A beautiful courtyard to enjoy an evening with a drink in the cool evening air (however, you could enjoy it as a... More
