Lovely old hotel, beautiful courtyard. We had a great little room overlooking the courtyard. It is a a bit faded, but I am fine with that. But they don't offer even a light breakfast and breakfast option are quite limited in town. They have such a lovely courtyard seems a shame not to utilise it for breakfast. Bed was comfy,... More

Hotel Paisano is a step back in time in the beautiful high desert country of far west Texas. Our room was a half floor above the lobby. We had a cozy private patio with an outdoor fireplace. Handy for the cool evenings in Marfa. The room was smallish but was updated and had a spotless bathroom. A/C (always important in... More

Great historical hotel in the middle of downtown Marfa. Walking distance to most places (if you can stand the heat in the summer!) Book early - this tiny hotel fills up fast. Definitely swing for a suite. We stayed in their last available guest room for the weekend and it was fine for a few days, but small. Friends we... More

Nice structure in the little village of Marfa at the border of Big Bend National Park. El Paisano is in the center of Marfa.Nice rooms good services and a very pleasent bar/resaturant placed in the Patio of the hotel refreshed by a fine fountain.

Warm place, friendly staff, beautiful location and décoration, very authentic. Good free wifi and really good gift Shop!! One of our favorite (if not our favorite) hotel in our Texan Road-trip. We booked the James Dean room which is quite small but really cute and quiet, and with the history, that makes up for it. Try El Paisano's restaurant: the... More

The far away town of Marfa in West Texas hosted the crew of the movie "Giant" (1956). They all stayed in the hotel Paisano. The hotel rooms could use some renovations but the atmoshere of being away from it all makes up for it. The bar and courtyard is the meeting point. Great Margaritas. Marfa is known for the art... Scheduled as our sojourn South of the Interstate enroute to Austin from Phoenix this hotel was exactly what I hoped for, and more. Classic, historical ambiance is built into its stately architecture. We arrived without any reservation in a driving West Texas rainstorm which was flooding the streets. Parking is on the street where an active ankle-deep stream had formed.... More

Historic hotel with lovely amenities. Pet friendly, accommodating staff, great location. Great central location for day trips to Big Bend. Jett Grill offers a delicious variety for dinner, it is unfortunate they are not open for breakfast or lunch.

Beautiful historical hotel in the heart of Marfa. The rooms were very large and ours had 2 bathrooms! The building was gorgeous and the restaurant, the Jett grill, had wonderful food. Try to see or stay in the rooms that were used by James Dean or Liz while filming Giant!

We stayed in a queen bed room with private bathroom, French door balcony looking out into courtyard. It was so nice, so friendly, welcomed our dogs, and was quiet and super comfortable! Love the history of this place. Marfa is a cool small town. Worth the drive from Austin!
