Stayed here for one night. The decor is totally not my style, so I was a bit apprehensive after looking at the photos online, but it was a complete surprise to the upside. Yes, it's not the most modern hotel, but that's not what it tries to be. Our room had everything we needed, and we had a really nice... More

Our stay at the Hotel Paisano was nice. Room was comfortable, the hotel was well maintained, has a nice courtyard, and desk managers were helpful and friendly. A good place to stay if you have to stop in Marfa

We traveled to west Texas with another couple to celebrate a special occasion by attending a star party at McDonald Observatory in Ft. Davis and combined that with a visit to Marfa. We had room 234, a huge suite - with a fully equipped kitchen and room 232 which shares a balcony with room 234. The rooms were nicely and... More

I stayed in the James Dean room, which is 233. This is a very small room very close to the stairs. As there are no elevators, you get to hear people thumping their luggage up instead of carrying it. The room was well-appointed, but the view is not great. The bathroom had a strong odor of chemical, and i found... More

We arrived late in the evening after a long drive from Austin so it was great we could park right at the hotel's entrance and we didn't need to go trundling around Marfa for dinner as the hotel's restaurant serves top quality food. The hotel was obviously a top class hotel years ago and because of this it still retains... More

The Paisano is an older hotel built in the early 1900's. There is an elevator shaft but the elevator has not worked in years. The rooms are up a substantial stair case and you get to lug your own luggage. Our room was nice, quaint and large. Good TV and the bed was adequate but a little on the soft... More

If you are looking for a souvenir of your trip to Marfa this is a great little shop. The woman behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. We will think about staying in the hotel next time. We came to see the small collection of items related to the movie shot in Marfa: Giant.

My husband stayed at The Hotel Paisano, for one night, on a road trip to San Antonio, Texas. We were pleasantly surprised to find it clean, well appointed, comfy (the bed was perfect!) and quiet. I can't tell you how many moderately expensive hotels we've stayed in that were noisy! We didn't hear a peep from the hallway or other... More

We spent two nights in late April at the Hotel Paisano while immersing ourselves into the total Donald Judd/Marfa experience. We stayed in room 234 which is a very large and comfortable suite that could easily serve as an apartment. The suite includes a large living room with two separate seating areas, full kitchen, dining area large enough to throw... More

I wish I could only write “I loved it!” But it asks for 200 letters. The Paisano offers a boutique feeling for a reasonable price. Rooms are small, which I expected since it's an older building. Our bedroom was well kept and clean, loved the outdoor fireplace in our room. Marfa was an oasis in the middle of nowhere, will... More
