At one time, this was my preferred hotel in Lufkin; however, this HI location is, unfortunately, going downhill quickly. The structure is fairly new and the furnishings/decor are modern and inviting with clean lines and neutral tones. Cannot say just how bad the manager and staff were towards guests! Dirty room with bugs! Complained to cleaning staff and they said nothing could be done. Desk staff said no manager available. No one cared about complaints. Lazy would be an understatement. No way I will ever stay here again more

Front desk clerk rented me a filthy room. No housekeeping on premises. Was told she could not do anything. She moved us to another room, all she had, an upgrade at my expense.
