Lubbock is a standard stop for me when traveling into Texas and I've stayed at several hotels in the area. This was my first KOA in Lubbock (traveling with a pet so we went the kabin route) and it was decent. But having stayed at several KOAs across the mid-west this summer, this one is on the lower end. The... More

Clean enough campground but pool closes at 8:00 so don't promise the kids a swim if you are rolling in a bit later. The entire campground is beside a fairly busy highway. The worst is that the tent sites are right beside the highway. VERY loud all night with oilfield trucks passing by. Too many lights around the tenting area,... More

We were there for one night just before Mémorial Day week-end. We stayed in a cabin for only $43 with the taxes included. That's very good because most KOA campgrounds have exactly the same cabins for $10 more. The cabin was clean and beautiful. The a/c worked well but the Wifi was quite slow. The noise from the highway and... More

Lousy location due to road and train. Needs updating. Lacked in grounds maintenance. Short sites, planks are a hazard. Needless to say, I sure didn't like it! Internet slow and it's pick a number to access with your devices. People living here too. About the only good things I can say is it's only $27 or so pn with KOA... More

The ground is very dusty with minimal grass. They do have a decent amount of trees but not a significant amount of shade. There is also an early morning train that goes by around 6am and that is very noisy - be prepared if you are a light sleeper. Finally, the pool was still closed for renovation/fixing so that was... Although we pulled our fifth wheel right in the center of the slot we were assigned, we soon discovered tree branches dragging on the top. We had a heck of a time getting pulled out without damaging our roof. We moved to another site. They seemed confused and responded that the site was long enough. Tree branches were also overhanging... More

I rented a camper cabin for a couple of nights while in town for a wedding. For $39 a night the little cabin worked out well. There isn't a bathroom in the cabin, but it's a short walk to a very clean bathroom with decent showers. The campground was pretty full, yet really quiet for the most part. My cabin... More

Well, we plan to go to the mountains with our popup camper for Memorial day weekend, but trouble with the lights which led to burning out the light system in the pickup put a screeching halt. So with heavy heart turned around at our city limits of Artesia NM and headed home on Sat. evening. Grand daughter and us were... More

Stayed here on several occasions. Had doubts due to other reviews and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! Well run and friendly. Quiet and clean. Sites are level and fairly close together as are most sites in a KOA. All in all a great place to spend a night or two. Last stay was in September 2011.
