With all due respect, I don't always have high expectations with small city hotels that aren't a flagship brand. The Overton is excellent. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and well-appointed and the restaurant is very good.

A nice hotel with all the amenities. Quality service, tidy rooms with full wifi and comfortable beds. The location is excellent right next to Texas Tech. They have a full bar and restaurant option. This is the place to stay if life finds you in Lubbock.

Let me just say that Lubbock has needed a nice upscale hotel for awhile and I was happy to see the Overton built, however, there are certainly things that could be improved to make this a great hotel. The Overton Hotel is truly a first class hotel! The staff was helpful and courteous. When you asked them a question they seemed to truly want to help and not as if you were bothering them! And the room service staff was great. The food was amazing! And the bar tender was so nice and even with the bar packed... More

Very disappointed. The VIP rooms aren't anything special. Everything is just average. Nothing extraordinary. Our room came with wine and cheese, but we had to wait an hour for a cork screw. The hotel only has one. What?! Not to mention this cheese has been sitting out for hours and hours. Gross. Not worth the price at all.

This place was great. Very cool decor (western) themed. All about Lubbock and the Overton's. Check in was a snap!!! Bed was great, towels great!! Best hotel in Lubbock! I personally enjoy staying on the higher floors for the sky view of Texas Tech. I also like how that hotel is located very close to respectable restaurants / bars and the campus.

I've stayed here twice and they have the nicest rooms in West Texas. Beds are super comfy and come with about 7 pillows to choose from. Nice TV, great shower, reading lights on the bed. The workout room is very nice. Walking distance to several restaurants, shopping and Tech football games. This is THE place to stay in Lubbock.

I have stayed at the Overton multiple times and love it! The rooms are very nice: clean, lots of electrical outlets, great products in bathroom, quite, comfortable bed and pillows and include a k-cup coffee maker and refrigerator.
