Beau Rive is unlike any other hotel we've ever stayed at. In fact I don't think you could even call it a hotel. It's more like your home in the Caribbean. It's someplace you can go and turn off the technology, and return to a stress-free life. While some people will not like the fixed meals we loved them. There... More

There are few places left in this world which are idyllic but fortunately there is one such place located in the beautiful, unspoiled Caribbean island of Dominica. Mark has created a unique and special boutique inn. Him and his staff are so warm and inviting, we felt more like friends than a paying guest. Each evening we couldnt wait to... More

We stayed here for 6 days (10-15th June 2015). The place is lovely looking & in the middle of nowhere which I'm sure adds to its appeal to most. The room was lovely but I tried to walk around the grounds which was very dangerous. One staircase was in very bad order and as its on a mountain side walking... More

There are times when one can only shake one’s head. These guests were moved here at the last minute by their tour operator, after one night at the hotel of their choice, which also didn’t suit them. Because Chris couldn’t eat “any” spices, we designed menus & recipes especially for them, provided packed lunches when required and drove them to... More

If I could choose to stay anywhere in Dominica , even if money were no object, I should still choose Beau Rive. It's position is idyllic. All bedrooms, the dining room, bar, terrace study and the swimming pool and beautifully maintained gardens face the sea. Mark Steele has built his guest house deliberately a little way up into the cliff,... More

Beau Rive is like home from home. From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable here. Amazing staff and two beautiful dogs! Mark Steele the owner runs a great place. Rooms are sizeable with very comfortable beds and what a view from the balcony. We slept like babies with the sound of the sea rocking us to sleep each night.... More

We stayed only a few nights at Beau Rive & wished we had stayed a bit longer… it is a wonderful small hotel. We stayed in one of the cottages and it is very comfortable and has a beautiful view. The staff were always helpful and friendly. . Mark, the owner takes great care to make sure his guests are... More

Mark has created a unique destination resort that was both very enjoyable and very relaxing for our 7 night stay in Dominica. Beau Rive is located on the Atlantic side of the island, high above the coastline but the views are beautiful and the sound of the waves crashing into the beach is both tranquil and relaxing. We were assigned... More

There's a reason we returned to Beau Rive for a third time.  In fact, there are many... - the secluded, cliff-top setting with stunning sea and mountain views - the ever-present sounds of the sea, scents from the colourful and expansive gardens - the elegant rooms, simply decorated with local art and tropical flowers - the fresh and fabulous home cooked... 5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2015

We stayed at Beau Rive for five nights and enjoyed a mix of activity and total relaxation. The atmosphere here is more of an eclectic house party than a hotel or guest house and the owner, Mark, seems to work 24/7 to make sure all the guests have the best of times. He advises on trips, arranges guides and transport... More

I know why - it must be extremely hard work, day in and day out, to create the perfect combination of elegance and relaxation. I wouldn't criticise anything about Beau Rive only emphasise the extra special things that made our stay so good. We had a cottage room with amazing views but it was the scent of the citrus blossom... More
