a gem of a hotel. one of the finest I've stayed. intimate, with about 9 rooms. We were in a cottage in the forest, with views to the bay below. Mark and his team could not do enough. The fruit and vegetables come from the exquisite garden. A very special destination.

Beau rive is a small traditionally built boutique hotel run very well by Mark from England. The rooms benefit from the breeze created by the magnificent positioning within the valley 250 feet above sea level overlooking the beautiful bay below with the dramatic waves constantly wrapping themselves around the rocky peninsula. The food is top notch, everything is homemade including,... More

The Belle Rive is simply the best hotel experience we've had. As other reviewers have said, Mark, the owner and his staff, made us feel more like house guests and friends than customers. The food was fantastic; made with fresh, local produce. The breakfasts were wonderful and the evening meal never disappointed. Although the daily menu was set , Mark... More

We stayed here for four nights and adored our stay in this lovely hotel, it was intimate, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room had tremendous views and it was a sight to behold seeing several parrots flying past our balcony. Mark the owner was a gentleman, kind and gentle and a perfectionist. We ate breakfast and dinner there and the... More

Beau Rive is unlike any other hotel we've ever stayed at. In fact I don't think you could even call it a hotel. It's more like your home in the Caribbean. It's someplace you can go and turn off the technology, and return to a stress-free life. While some people will not like the fixed meals we loved them. There... More

There are few places left in this world which are idyllic but fortunately there is one such place located in the beautiful, unspoiled Caribbean island of Dominica. Mark has created a unique and special boutique inn. Him and his staff are so warm and inviting, we felt more like friends than a paying guest. Each evening we couldnt wait to... More

We stayed here for 6 days (10-15th June 2015). The place is lovely looking & in the middle of nowhere which I'm sure adds to its appeal to most. The room was lovely but I tried to walk around the grounds which was very dangerous. One staircase was in very bad order and as its on a mountain side walking... More

Mark S, Owner at Beau Rive, responded to this review

There are times when one can only shake one’s head. These guests were moved here at the last minute by their tour operator, after one night at the hotel of their choice, which also didn’t suit them. Because Chris couldn’t eat “any” spices, we designed menus & recipes especially for them, provided packed lunches when required and drove them to... More

If I could choose to stay anywhere in Dominica , even if money were no object, I should still choose Beau Rive. It's position is idyllic. All bedrooms, the dining room, bar, terrace study and the swimming pool and beautifully maintained gardens face the sea. Mark Steele has built his guest house deliberately a little way up into the cliff,... More

Beau Rive is like home from home. From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable here. Amazing staff and two beautiful dogs! Mark Steele the owner runs a great place. Rooms are sizeable with very comfortable beds and what a view from the balcony. We slept like babies with the sound of the sea rocking us to sleep each night.... More

We stayed only a few nights at Beau Rive & wished we had stayed a bit longer… it is a wonderful small hotel. We stayed in one of the cottages and it is very comfortable and has a beautiful view. The staff were always helpful and friendly. . Mark, the owner takes great care to make sure his guests are... More
